phew! thanks for that. its that bloody red writing again bleeding all over the place... (its a colourblind thing)... can we please refrain from the red text please?
Sorry, that's my fault. I added the red text following clarification of which text was correct - the text in the OP which we had been provided with originally, or the in-game text (which was different for each CG too! I'll change the colour to a more suitable one.

hang on a mo... this system permit only lasts a week? i must have missed that part. was only doing it for the permit.... only lasting a week is a p take.... i'm off to do something else
"Ltt 198 Order" minor faction issues the permit outside the CG. You just need to become allied with them. If you don't like to mine and don't need the one mining laser reward just do some missions for said faction or they are now at war in the LTT 198 system. Go support them and you'll get the permit without the CG. ( I actually had it before the CG, but I don't want to brag :D)

ha. nice. i was traveling around the bubble not long back and was offered a permit. dont know why or how it happens. can't remember if i took it or not but have it bookmarked for a return..

@ flossy. just a fyi.... red/green most common followed by red/blue. and thanks.

you wouldn't believe how much i struggle with the in-game text. that orange text. the red text. the red landing dot on a red background for landing. who bloomin thought of that great idea?. .... i really appreciated the lighter colours that were added at some point by fdev. so thank em for that.

cheers

Oh, idea.

While a colourblind mode should absolutely be added by the developers, there's a couple things you can look at if on PC.

1. Something in this list might work better for you.
2. I'm not aware of any yet, but this is something where the community could step up and use EDHM to provide a colourblind mode.

while i and many other people would love this idea and has been done in other games. one of the red dead redemption series and diablo 3 spring to mind the way the colours are when you change them with the hud changer thing. its not that simple. changing a colour in that can have strange results in other areas. so that's how it's written.. a change crosshairs and a change text colour would be good options. come to think of it doesn't nvid experience give options to change crosshairs somewhere?

Don't you ignore any unwanted metals? Best thing that ever happened in mining was the ability to put unwanted metals - and discarded limpets - on ignore, saving a lot of time by not having to vent them out. :)

Thanks to the owner of the Fleet Carrier "Laughing Gravy" which was conveniently parked near the ring I was mining! I had been mining for a while when I had a disconnect so had to go through the nightmare of re-entering the ring again and being pestered by NPC pirates - only this time with more than just limpets in my hold. I saw a couple after dropping in and boosted away hoping to lose them; eventually there was nothing on radar so I re-started mining - only to have one of the NPCs arrive and start demanding cargo - 20 tonnes of it! I dropped a few and started boosting away hoping to escape while he collected them....but no, he kept on chasing me! All the time still demanding 20 even though I'd already dropped some and I watched as my hull was taking damage, all the time looking around for somewhere - anywhere - I could escape to. Then I saw the "Laughing Gravy" which felt like a bit of an omen - I live in the town where Stan Laurel was born and knew that "Laughing Gravy" was the name of L&Hs dog, which can be seen on a local statue nipping at Ollie's trousers. I continued frantically boosting until finally out of mass lock and managed to engage supercruise heading for the carrier and hoping I'd be able to dock and repair as my hull was now down to 40%. Thankfully I was able to dock, refuel and repair as well as buy more limpets before returning to re-try entering the ring. This time I managed to boost away from the NPCs before they had a chance to scan me and even then waited a good few minutes to be sure before recommencing mining. I was then able to return to the CG megaship with 200 tonnes - 192 refined and 8 full bins in the refinery! (I don't do combat so never have any guns to fight back before you ask!)

May I humbly ask that everyone participating in this CG drop but one ton into the other CG please ? That would greatly help everyone trying to get the abrasion blaster by widening the top 10 % bracket with higher participation numbers.

Anyone noticed any discrepancies between amounts sold to the market and amounts credited in the CG? I had 400 before selling a further 200 last night - and now the CG shows I have contributed 590 instead of 600? Trawled through journals to check and definitely sold 200. OK, it's only a difference of 10 and I did get paid for them, so just curious about where the other 10 went?

@Flossy did you get hatch breaker attacked while mining with collectors out... If you did then those items are recollected automaticly by your collectors to your ship but they lose the mining tag... This happened a lot to me in the Tritium CG as well... thats the only way ive seen Items not count for CG so far...

Not that I'm aware of? Would it tell me in the journal file? That would explain it I suppose.

Found these 10 lines of 'CollectCargo' during the attack - and I did have limpets out at the time! Thanks, seems the problem has been solved! :) I suppose it would also explain why the pirate kept getting shirty - as fast as I was dropping the items, the collectors were taking them back!

OK All fixed. You can carry cargo to dump out to avoid CG cargo being taken by pirates and you dump that instead and then recollect it with collectors and then pirates will smeg off in a fuss but if you eject CG items then yep the mined tag was removed...
Taking 20 tons of painite to eject and then recollect for example works as its higher sale value..

Yeah makes sense! I'll have to 'unignore' painite next time. Thanks! :)

Are we suppose to mine or delivery said goods? If it is deliver good then I did not get credit as I signed up before selling the required goods.

Note: found out and reread the mission.

One ton of prime Coltan delivered as requested.
Good luck Commander

I don't know if I would call it prime grade, but I scraped down the sides of the refinery bins and checked under the couch cushions in the ship's mess and found a few tons of the cheap stuff to contribute. Looks like we just passed 37 commanders who can get that module now.
