State of the Game

I'm pretty sure you are... :D
That's also the beauty of ship customization. Others don't have to like it. :D
Agreed, 100% - we dress our ships to please ourselves / fit in with our playstyle.
I'm just sad that the Raider kits cost so much to purchase, and that they are not available for each ship in my fleet. (I do have my 3 main ships, so mostly good - but really would chuckle with the rest)
We can buy the corroded PJ for our FC (of course I have it!) but not a Raider kit to complement it!

Does anyone have an electric car?

I've always wondered how they drive in comparison to an internal combustion / gears car. Do electric cars have gears? Is it like driving a milk float (i.e. constant acceleration?).
they don't have gears, because unlike combustion engines they have no best performance rpm range - this is why a tesla has an acceleration like a sports car.

I flogged my cobra as it wan't really getting any use, but was a mighty fun little go-cart back then... I can imagine engineered up it's quite a little beast, but TBH, the asp/vulture/python has fulfilled all my needs. More now of the "ooh, need new shiny thing" rather than any need for a new ship...

Sorry folks, this is all terribly off topic...

Well, "Thread" actually, but you get my meaning.

Big fan of my Cobra - Kai and the Dolphin - Flipper (not of the sound not the sound of the Dolphin tho - like millions of dolphins suddenly crying out and....wheezing). Been using the Cobra for combat and mission running faction rep work and the dolphin for mining, station rescues, and space box trucking. At some point I'm gonna get out of the small ships but I can do most things in game I want across combat, trading, and exploring. Current goal is to wrap up the last of Imperial rank head back to Shin Dez and go on a bit of a shopping spree.

In garden news first batch of tomatoes are jarred up after the storm delay. Hoping the cucumber plants have enough cukes by this weekend for some pickles.

And I have to say I do like the look of the cybertruck in a halo meets battlezone kinda way.

I used to have a lotus 7 style kit car with a tuned up V8 in it kicking out about 700bhp/ton with side pipes and not a lot of silencer.... best fun was always at traffic lights with some bell end boy racer revving the brussels off his souped up whatever, slipping the clutch, inching forward... fun to match him, barking and rumbling... and then pulling sedately away while he went screaming off in a cloud of rubber and smoke and flying con rods... always amused me...
Yup. My favourite moment was always turning sedately and slowly left (UK here) as they squealed off and away.

Now that's a litso (or visyvig) from the past, Bratty Horse, my droog.

I've long thought that they need a low speed sound when moving, and especially when starting off. For a pedestrian they are an almost completely silent predator, and with some of the driver-awareness I've seen in car-parks, lethally-so.
they do.

the tesla lets you customize theirs. and most sound like a space ship ...because that's the sound they're designed to make specifically for that purpose...not due to any kind of mechanical or electrical consequence.

only the 1st gen or diy's are silent at slow speeds.
