Ships Krait Phantom for exploration explodes easily (with class 3 shields)

5D Enhanced Low Power/Hi-Cap would give you more shields for less power than 3A Prismatic, and be a ton lighter.

Resistances mean nothing on an explorer, all collision damage is absolute damage. 3A Prismatic ELP/Hi with 3 class E boosters also isn't giving you 1200MJ absolute shields on a Krait Phantom, it's giving you about 680 even if they were all Heavy Duty/Super Caps. (You'd get about 715 with 5Ds)

That is, however, just overkill. You do not need any better shielding than a standard 5D ELP/Hi-Cap. You would be better off investing in your thrusters so you can control your ship in more environments and not bonk into things as much.
I used the Prismatics because I already had them complete with engineering.

And, using them only cost me 0.14 light years on a max range jump.

Overkill, sure, but we'll worth not having to engineer another module.

Makes sense and for my tastes not overkill at all. Mind you I'm much more aware of the gravity of where I'm landing than I was when I exploded the Phantom. The strong shields do mean I won't shy away from landing on a high G planet that's interesting, so still worth it to me.

Where do you get the double engineered FSD?
Google search elite dangered engineered FSD V1 to find materials you need. The use onata.cz to find human technology broker to get one. Only available in size 5. Don't forget to use am engineer to add mass manager effect to it so long as you don't want to move it between ships which loses the effect.
YouTube also has video guides.

Where do you get the double engineered FSD?
It was initially available as a community goal award. I got it there. Now it's available at a human tech broker. It's called Engineered FSD V1:
