So, on the sixth anniversary of admiral Bishop's speech before the Senate, what is the current status of the war effort? Do you think they will re-render the existing footage?
Considering Gary Oldman sued CIG two years ago to get them to stop using his likeness to promote the game, I am guessing they may have lost the rights to other actors as well, except for that slime Hamill.

I like the new update...missile mode works with it now plus the scanning, ping and VTOL mode switch. The speed limiter commands are pretty good as well as cruise control etc...I don't use them much since I fly HOTAS...but the speed limiter voice commands are useful. My favourite is the request docking command...opens up the comms panel in Mobiglas, helpful if you use a HOTAS rather than M/KB. Target selection and pinning now works with voice as well, it broke with the old HCS profiles when Ci¬G updated the keybinds.
The HCS packs I have now even accept my best Sean Connery impression of "One Ping only..."

The 2 most important words in a marriage, "Yes dear."
Speaking of other halves...mine decided to plait my hair into a long braid today after complaining that I looked like a burst hay bale. I dunno about it...she seems to like it but it's a bit too Vikinger for my tastes. I rarely tie it up since there's no point in having long hair if it's always tied up in a ponytail...might as well just have stick on hair extensions. I hadn't realised how long it had grown since I don't pay that much attention to it bar the usual shampooing and conditioning...the braid almost reaches to the waistband on my jeans
There's always been built in SC integration with all the voice pack profiles since most of them came into being through ED ...but it always seemed like the SC integration was an afterthought or tacked on to the very comprehensive Elite Dangerous profiles. Most of the voice commands suited both games to be fair...but after Ci¬G revamped some of the keybinds and added or changed a few key ones or relegated most of them to the 'inner thought' menu system, the voice packs only had very basic functions for SC...gear up/down, spool/jump etc.
This new update sorts a lot of the issues out that have crept in over the years...the SC profiles are still not as in depth or nearly as comprehensive as the ED or EDO profiles, but it's getting there
The day before, my available times to play weren't contiguous, which pretty much ruled out playing Star Citizen. But to make up for it, I had a glorious hour and a half of uninterrupted play time last night. I started the evening with taking a simple courier mission.
People were already complaining about issues caused the EVENT, so I sprinted down to the Hyper-loop station, rather move at a more reasonable rate. It didn’t help me at all.
Since this was a courier mission, I decided on using the cargo/fighter hybrid, the Mustang. Unlike the Aurora, the Mustang is explicitly described, in game, as a cargo ship, so it was surely the right ship for the job, right? RIGHT???
(this is called foreshadowing )
Just one problem, though: the game wouldn't let me retrieve my ship!
This happened three times, before I was finally successful. When I got to the hanger, though, I was so distracted by one of the NPCs firing finger guns at an imaginary enemy, I forgot to take a picture of the Mustang.
I quickly figured out how to use the quantum drive to travel around the moon. My first landing attempt last session didn't work so well, so I was determined to be more careful this time.
After I landed, I discovered, to my extreme annoyance, that the small "cargo/fighter hybrid" ship had no place to actually put the packages. The "cargo container" at the back was completely useless! While the animation was interesting, this ship, a starter ship no less, encapsulated the Roberts School of Game Design: all form, no function.
Then I noticed there was small space behind the controls, where I might be able to put the packages. I got the first two in there just fine, but the third ended up in a different location.
Naturally, once I got them in there, I wasn't able to get use the "inner thoughts" interface to get them out. But I was hoping I could shake them lose at my first destination. What could possibly go wrong? I selected the inner thoughts option to enter the ship, fully expecting something to glitch in a gloriously amusing manner. Instead, I seemed to clip though the package.
I flew to my first drop off point, and as I approached, I somehow flew into a cliff that I swear hadn't been there before.
I still had some time left in the session, and as I debated what to do next, I noticed that the packages still showed up on my HUD. Maybe the mission could be saved after all? I once again raced to the space port, enduring the nicely animated but completely superfluous Hyper-Loop ride. When it came time to retrieve my Aurora, though?
I almost rage quit at that point. But since I had nothing pressing in Fallout Shelter, I decided to soldier on. Might as well get in some practice, assuming I get to play Friday night.
As I approached my destination, though, I noticed two weird things. The first was this odd circle of light in the darkness.
It vanished eventually, resembling the night it was. The second was that the packages hadn't fallen to the ground like I expected. They were just hovering in mid air, as if they were resting on an invisible surface.
Despite making several attempts to get the box destined for this location to budge, it simply wouldn't move. Eventually, it occurred to me that I might be able to retrieve it through the door if I got close enough. And while I did get close enough, the only thing I saw was empty air.
It's at that point I decided to log out for the night, secure in the knowledge that I'd spawn right back in my bed on the other side of the world. Whether I wanted to or not!
Assuming the free fly is still going on tonight, I'll make another attempt at a box retrieval mission. This time, I'll take the Aurora, since I've seen plenty of "how to" videos when it comes to box missions. It is, after all, apparently too much to expect CIG to make a starter ship that can actually do starter missions.

That image of you peering past the box in the cockpit made me laugh...it reminded me of my wife and me back when we were too poor to afford a car as well as a motorbike. Her, 6 months pregnant with our twins and both of us precariously clinging on to my old Triumph in torrential rain with a new, boxed microwave oven jammed between us heading the 6 miles back from town to our tiny rented cottage. I was sat halfway up the tank on the bike. I was also totally soaked and freezing as I didn't even have the luxury of a jacket... my wife decided that my waterproof Frank Thomas waxed cotton bike jacket was better served keeping the microwave dry
Most of it has been recycled and mechanically sprayed over my fields already...at least this year, number one son managed not to be wearing a good bit of it
