Breeding

There's no doubts it's something that could be done code wise, it's more the resources and commitment to do it (a level of professionalism is also required, a baby stage of some sort for example).

It could be done incrementally, for variants of select species, but I'm not confident that's the plan.

frontier, can you do something similar to this? even in a dlc
With the mechanics of territories it would be great to have breeding even if it is only dinosaur mitosis

if only one guy can do it in a mod, you as experienced developers can
what they lack is the desire to carry it out.
If Frontier bring breeding for JWE2, this mechanic needs to be consistent with the realism that the game proposes. But for obvious reasons, I see no need in mating animations. Asexual reproduction wouldn't be interesting. If only animals reproduced in the most common way...common sexual reproduction with baby/juvenile dinosaurs way would be better. It would be great to have the breeding mechanics in the game, and anyway, improvements and fixes can be made over time. I imagine something like this coming to the game near the release of Dominion because I believe that the third film will address this theme again, since the "Dinosaurs Rule the Earth" again

Maintaining the ecosystem of our parks in a natural way through breeding, would be beautiful and something fun!

i highly doubt they will because if you watched Jurassic Park they said that all the dinos are female
So you don't really know the whole franchise. Population control was something present only in Jurassic Park. Since The Lost World to the latest JWFK movie even in Battle At Big Rock, male and baby/juvenile dinosaurs appear several times in the franchise and Colin Trevorrow himself confirmed on Twitter that Jurassic World has breeding in the park

I believe the official word on this has already been stated several times over, 'No, no plans to do so.'

If you watched Jurassic Park you would know that the dinos were breeding, as Grant found a raptor nest with a clutch of hatched eggs and tiny raptor prints heading off into the jungle.

To answer Dr. Wu's question, ' You propose that a group composed entirely of females will breed?' Yes when you used frog DNA
to fill in the sequence gaps, duh.

i never claimed i did know the whole franchise. i have seen Jurassic Park at least once a year since i was a child since i was born in 2001 so i grew up with it and it has become my favourite movie. Jurassic Park 2 and 3 bored me so i never really got into it and Jurassic World 1 and 2 was sort of the same where it got boring after the first time so after the first time watching them whenever they were on i didnt pay much attention so its obvious i dont know the whole franchise. I dont follow Colin Trevorrow on twitter so i never even saw that tweet not that im on it enough to see it even if i followed him. i only saw the battle at big rock a couple times but i never got right down and studdied it but thank you for informing me of what i didnt know

Okay buddy, but now you already know that "all dinosaurs in Jurassic Park/World are female" is not true, everyone knows it's not true. Frontier gave their answer: no, which is weird because what is not lacking, is conditions for them to do so. It doesn't make sense still ignoring something clearly present in franchise

It does not matter if they said they "have no plans to do so" it was the same thing they said about the inability to change the sizes of giganotosaurus, rex and spinosaurus, and ended up giving in to community requests,
The idea of this post is to encourage the community and the frontier itself to do it by popular request.
and also to show that reproduction, although basic like mitosis, is completely possible even for a modder,
so frontier itself can do something better if it sets its mind to it.
because life finds a way

I agree with you

Yeah, they said same thing about vehicle destruction and marine reptiles in the past and look...

I love JWE, and with the arrival of the second game I expect good things like breeding for the game. I can't wait for the base game...imagine after

Maybe a DLC a year or so from now or JWE3.

Sorry to reply to a week-old thread, but I should also say that Frontier should be cut some slack. Breeding is quite complicated to add - I'm also a seasoned developer, and even though this was put together quite quickly it is also just a prototype of a final version, and I've done work with herding/population mechanics in video-game animals. So it would likely take any one person on the team longer to work out the kinks than it took me, due to prior experience.

It is a pleasure to have you in my post, thanks for taking the time and answering
I admire what you do with mods, I understand that you have a lot of experience necessary to program it, but what I was referring to is that Frontier also has experience in breeding, with games like planet zoo and being a great company with many more people working it in, Well it seems to me that it wouldn't cost them too much to do it officially.
again, thanks for your comment.

Agreed, they can do it just like they did in PZ
