Hi everyone.

Just a note that my new Commander's Log Podcast is now live on Itunes

The link on my website has also been updated so it has snassy album art to go along with the mp3. Its all about adding value to the customers!

You've asked for more length, you've asked for more gossip, you've asked for an introduction podcast. Well, you're going to get it. But first I have to get over this cold because I sound awful at the moment :)

If anyone is interested in helping me out, a review on itunes would be greatly appreciated to help with publicity.

I have a few NZ friends and apart from you guys having an unhealthy obsession with peter Jackson and lord of the rings, I love the New Zealand voice, as I'm fully aware of the difference between NZ and Australian and the NZ sounds better.

I think that stems from our 'little brother' syndrome. we are the baby of the commonwealth and when one of us takes on the world and wins we naturally get excited about it. Any kiwi victory in the world, no matter how small is big news.

Of course internally we suffer from tall poppy syndrome so not sure how those two things equate.

But good news on the accent! cheers.

I clicked on RSS feed and got a page of html (with a message saying there appeared to be no content) - in IE.

I did manage to grab and download the .mp3 buy cutting the .mp3 url.

I am a bit of a podcast noob so I am guessing I am being a dumb little alien.

Wanna take the chance to tell me how stupid I am?

if you scroll down the website youll see a big grey and blue button with a speaker in the middle. Click on that and it will just download the mp3.

Ill have to have a look into that drama you are having with the rss feed. I use IE9 and it was fine for me. which button are you clicking on for the feed?

Ok I've updated the website so there is a direct download option available for the podcast as well as itunes and RSS.

I've also slipped in a Podcast Episode 0 as an introduction to the whole podcast series.

Downloaded Itunes and (after figuring out how to get the podcast to play) listened to episodes 0 and 1.

I agree with Mobius: smoothy! (nice voice to listen to)

My oldest daughter has now discovered approx 350 (free) indie rock radio stations,
and I can't get her away from the computer any more :( (sigh)

I wouldn't know about teenage daughters (got about ten years before I have to worry about that) but I don't think that is a-typical :)

You don't need to worry about it. They get there all by themselves. Train them now that it's Daddy's computer, and NO they can't have it.:D

and whilst Fozza runs to itunes, we hear a loud crash, things falling over and a scream.....then over the tannoy [Medical staff to corridor 6, medical staff to corridor 6]

I had another listen and you are right, I kind of sound like I have a gun to my head and the man with the gun tells me that if i don't get through all the words in a certain amount of time he'll shoot.

That WASN"T the case, and I will slow down on the next episode

Also kind came to the realisation that with a majority of UK listeners, the Patriot (movie about killing the english) may not have been the best selection. I guess the Scots and The Irish might have loved it though ;) ) So if I offended anyone, apologies.

Podcast # 3 Live!

Hi fellow Commanders.

It’s taken a little bit longer than expected but I’ve just put the finishing touches on the Commander’s Log Podcast # 3 and its live for direct download on my website.

Podcast # 3, titled “Checking in on Zaonce”, is a bumper episode, weighing in at a tad under 26 minutes. I discuss my progress with the novel, some writing mechanics then dive into some writers forum and other community matters. I’m also on Zaonce for a reason. I’ll be catching up with a Commander from the community to have a bit of a chat.

Hope you enjoy it. If anyone else would like to come onto the Commander’s Log then get in touch via one of the many methods. Even if you don’t think you have anything to say I’m sure I can pry something out of you
