Mix eras

Tim smith are there gonna be mix eras in Jurassic world evolution 2 in ps4 and Xbox one like the dinosaurs skin in the movies from Jurassic park to Jurassic world? please don’t say there not be gonna in the game because it’s not fair please and if you tell there not gonna be in all console but only ps5 and xbox series x than you just ruin my day from the moment when I watch the pre order trailer came out. I only have one PlayStation 4 console not the ps5 console and I have plans if the mix era goes in all console including ps4

I would assume the restriction on PS4 is probably the same as JWE1, separating the building sets into eras, but all animals and skins are useable in all Jurassic World game modes, and in Jurassic Park sandbox.

As far as I'm aware the Series S doesn't have the restriction.

If somebody would like to elaborate, it'd be great to know ahead of release.

Hi there! If you're playing on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, you can mix eras in Sandbox Mode. On PS4 and Xbox One you will choose your era when starting your Sandbox Mode park.

What do you mean in PS4 you will choose your era when starting your Sandbox Mode park. Does that mean I have to choose which era such as like Jurassic world era or Jurassic park era? And will the dinosaurs skins in the movies like Jurassic park, the lost world, Jurassic park 3 and Jurassic world from Jurassic world evolution will still be in Jurassic world evolution 2 on ps4 right? Because I have plans to create my own Dino kingdom in the sandbox mode

If like JWE, eras affect which 3D models are used for buildings, vehicles, and some dinosaurs. Skins for the dinos were available across both eras in sandbox

The real question is how many eras will JWE2 have, and how are the movies assinged to the era.

JP era: JP/TLW/JP3
JW era: JW/JWFK/JWD
OR
JP era: JP/TLW/JP3
JW era: JW/JWFK
JWD era: JWD

Yes but will they be in Jurassic world evolution 2?

I'd expect the Return to Jurassic Park assets are returning in some form, seeing it's confirmed we'll go back to Jurassic Park San Diego.

An era for each trilogy makes the most sense I think.

Yes, you choose either Jurassic World or Jurassic Park. This will determine the theme of your park and the look of your buildings.

Are the typical JP buildings (visitor's centre, King kong gate, San Diego arena, safari tour, raptor pen & arrival helipad) available?

Maybe not the right thread but are there more differences between the different console versions, people should know before buying this game?

Can imagine people are more interesting in the ps5 version than the ps4 one, mixing eras could be important to people.

Planet Coaster's console edition building limitations were revealed pretty much last minute (a few days before release, called the Oswald-Eugene counter, giving park examples), the fact we've got something already is probably a sign of limitations to come for old Gen.

Looking into Complete edition on Switch, the 100 dino limit was known about 2 months in advance, but from an independant article, it was never actually mentioned here on the forums by Frontier staff, nor in the Developer spotlights. We didn't know of the 40 species limit until people actually played it after release.

All in all, it looks pretty shady, sort of on the border of deception.

On last-gen consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), you will be able to place up to 50 individual species at once in your parks in Sandbox Mode, but you can have as many dinosaurs within those 50 species as you think your Park Teams can handle. On PC and new-gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox One) you can have as many species and dinosaurs as you'd like in Sandbox Mode.

Oh interesting. Telling about gameplay too. Are all existing Sandbox Mode filters coming to JWE2?

As we've announced previously, you can adjust various parameters to make Sandbox Mode your own, and we've also made some tweaks to what you have available to account for the new management and gameplay systems. We'll leave the rest up to you to discover!

Why thank you, I suppose that makes sense! I just still like some challenge in Sandbox mode, if I'm feeling particularly courageous by cranking sabotage or weather to maximum. Never both.

You'll be able to make Sandbox Mode a little challenging, if you want to :)
Does that include doing research and expeditions as well? It‘s such a huge part of the game and many of us would really like to be able to build their park completely from scratch in sandbox mode as well, extracting DNA and all. So it would be great if we had an option to enable that in sandbox, too.
