State of the Game

Oh I love village cricket. Will be watching some later. WIth a mate. With a lot of beer. With scant attention to what's going on on the pitch. This is how Ingerland confounded conquered the world. Everyone else was too busy goimg 'whaaaaaaaaaaaat?????'

e. I tried to explain cricket to my Italian partner. I gave up and she shrugged. I'm still not sure who was 'right'.

🤷‍♂️

Every time Henry said "what am I" to some confused dutchman on going for gold, the whole country shouted the same response!
I'd love it if there was a game where Henry is some twisted assassin and in response to "what am I" he says, "incorrect, I am death", pulls out a pistol and whacks the target. Even better if the cooldown alert timer was like the goldrush segments.

Maybe I should pen an open letter to the Hitman devs?

Plus- the trials of living in a small rural French town.

Need some bread, easy right? France, the home of locally made bread, exquisite pastries etc.

No.

Bakery declared it shuts on Sundays. The day before Sunday.

The Butchers that sells bread is shut this Sunday for some reason.

The local corner shop is open- yay! But had....three baguettes. For a whole flipping village.

I have hungry guests coming down at 9am, and the only reliable shop opens at....9am.

I can see why visitors get so fed up with almost random opening times.

Hope you managed to get your baguettes. I'm making some later on, but don't think I can get them to France in time - they take about 5.5 hours from start to finish

EDIT: I see you normally do your own as well - got a good recipe - I found mine from something like 'The fabulous French baguette company', or similar :)

Here is an old photo of some I do- these days I just roll it without the twists and I use a proper baguette tray
