Farm Pack

I agree. A different take to a Biome or continent pack. My thoughts on a petting zoo pack.

Petting Zoo Pack

Includes the ability for guests to purchase food and hand feed animals in select walk through exhibits. Adds a new gate with a little vending machine next to it for food. Also includes new reduced scenery items with theme being farm.

Animals
  1. Marino Sheep
  2. Anglo-Nubian Goat
  3. Bennett’s wallaby
  4. Shetland pony
  5. Dromedary camel
  6. Fallow deer
  7. Vietnamese pot bellied pig
  8. Exhibit mini lop rabbits with no glass and guests can pick them up if you assign an educator.
Existing animals that can also use this feature
Indian peafowl, Bactrian camel and llama.
exhibit feature
Blue tongue lizard, Goliath frog and iguanas

Also includes new category of animals that don’t require enclosures. Mallard Ducks, koi and turtles for ponds and guests can throw food into them.

Good choices, some adjustments i would make:

- Cameroon sheep, one of the most common sheep breeds in zoos (atleast in europe, 317 holdings in the EAZA), comes with the bonus of being an african breed and fitting nicly in themed african sections aswell

- for similar reasons i would change the goat to the west african dwarf goat, as they are by far the most common in zoos (957 zoos hold them in the EAZA alone, making them just 16 holdings less then the number one spot of the indian peafowl.

I love the dromedary, the wallaby and the fallow deer as choices, making this pack even more attractive to not petting zoo fans, but i would honestly gladly drop any of them or the pony if they could make the bunnys habitat animals instead. With the meerkat they have shown that they could do it, so i sure hope they will one day. But i like the idear of the bunny being held for animal talks. Animals i would add there would be the harmless tarantulas and the boa constrictor, as both species are very common as ambassador animals in zoos. I myself have held (with help, not only was the lady huge, but i was also 12 or something) an over 2 meter long madagascar boa in my local zoo on an animal talk like event. Most boas are very docile creatures if well fed, so this also isnt really a rarity.

Btw after a little thought, african livestock rocks.
Best sheep, best cattle, best goat, best has more scenery pieces then 90% of the raster but isnt actually in the game.

I would honestly love an african domestic animal dlc, and maybe a second one so that we get one domestic breed from each continent (maybe kuneku pig, dwarf donkey, american rex (bunny) and maybe some kind of small cattle?)

A Mini DLC with South East Asian Lifestock could also work with:
-Vietnamese Pot bellied Pig
-Ayam Cemani

Honestly, dont want the ayam cemani, if we get a chicken i would like a more general one.
Mini dlc are overall iffy, as its not hard to find fitting animals for everything, in this case for example:
  • domestic yak (would be amazing)
  • Japanese quail (funfact, when you eat quail or quail eggs, its most likly not the one spread across europe, asia and northafrica, but from the japanese one, because for some reasons they were the only one that thought about domesticating them, anyways, looks like a normal quail but fits the bill and would greatly enhance our aviarys, as quill species are quite common to live on the ground of the aviarys of primarly flying birds)
  • technically, the golden pheasant counts as domesticated, so thats a good pick as well
  • a zebu

Just some idears from the top of my head

If i could choose one chicken, i would take the brahma chicken.
Its an american breed that has many colormorphs, is pretty big and has fluffy legs, making it still special and eyecatching, whilst still just a chicken.
+ zoos also think that, as they are very very common for a chicken breed.

I would prefer one that doesn't have such fluffy Legs but I like the big Amount of Color Variations.

I like the Chinese Silk Chicken even though I prefer to have at least one relatively normal looking Chicken in the Game.
The Japanese Bantam is a really nice looking Chicken (and I've read it as Japanese Batman at first 🙃) that I would love to see in the Game

Yeah im also not that much of a fan of the fluffy legs, but both their holding statistics, aswell as their color and the fact that they are among the largest chicken won me over
