What's with the Archaeornithomus hate?

Well... it is a bit of an odd pick... kinda like the Himalayan Brown Bear in Planet Zoo... there are other options from its particular family group that stand out a lot more; Pelecanimimus and Deinocheirus in particular. It's also alone, with no other members of its digsite being usable... so you can't put it in a scientifically accurate mixed exhibit. There's also this common suspicion that the only reason it was added was because Claire mentioned it by name... which sounds like the dumbest possible reason to justify its inclusion, especially over other bigger options.

I wouldn't call it a dumb reason, a bit of a logic stretch, but not dumb. Personally, I really like using them as Indominus feeders. Mostly to help the I. rex mirror the T. rex. The T. rex is fed Gallimimus in reference to Jurassic Park and I. rex is fed Archaeornithomimus in reference to Jurassic World.

I think because it's so similar to Gallimimus in the game that it seems unnecessary. I wish the dinosaurs in each family weren't so similar in size to one another. In reality, Gallimimus was twice as big as Archaeornithomimus, but they're nearly identical sizes in the game.

The same thing has happened with the cerotopsids and the stegosaurids: both Triceratops and Stegosaurus were large for their respective families. But Triceratops and Styracosaurus are about the same size in the game. The same thing with Stegosaurus and Gigantospinosaurus (Stegosaurus was much larger in reality, similarly sized in game).

I understand that this probably makes game development easier because then the dinosaur family can share animations, but they didn't do this with Chrichtonsaurus and the ankylosaurs, so I'm not sure why all the ornithomimids, cerotopsids, and stegosaurids are all the same size. The devs do themselves a disservice because it makes each dinosaurs species less unique. Archaeornithomimus/Gallimimus is a great example of this.

Not saying the dinosaurs have to be realistic sizes (see e.g. Velociraptor) but hopefully the new game incorporates some size differences purely to add uniqueness to the species.

I've kept Gallimimus and Archaeornithomimus together, they don't seem to ge the same size.

Lol @ people fighting for such a boring and redundant dinosaur, humans are strange. You better fight for Elasmosaurus and Therizinosaurus, or more small herbivores, you know, dinosaurs that actually look and behave differently, archeomiblablaminmus is just Struthiomimus 2, only reason they added it was because its easy to make, all they had to do is change the name of Struthiomimus.

Elasmosaurus? We already have 2 Plesiosaurs, by your logic, wouldn't that be redundant? Also, have you ever actually hatched one? I happen to prefer them over Frontiers Struthiomimus.

Elasmosaurus is a lot bigger than the other two, and has a much longer neck, you know it is actually a different looking creature, something the blablamimus can't say, especially the in-game model who is just a copied strutiomimus, I prefer the Strutiomimus btw, much more classic, much better name.

Pelecanimimus, Strutiomimus, Gallimimus and Deinocheirus = Perfect, blablamimus should go, or be some free update later in the development, they can't make people pay for such a copy-paste-waste.

You misspelled Struthiomimus.

Struthiomimus was the first dinosaur in the previous game, while the blablamimus was an extra special-edition deluxe add. I don't see how this is Struthiomimus it's fault? A lot more people know about Struthio than about the Archaeo as well.

That clair mentions that stupid name is more of a pun, I don't see a reason why this dinosaur should be added because that high-heeled boring character named it once.

Also I'm more sarcastich than being emotional about it, that's why I don't like typing that much, people don't see your emotions at all.

Why cant we want all of them? Theres only 2 other Ornithomimids in the game. I dont see why you would NOT want a dinosaur. If you dont like it, just dont use it.

While I liked it okay enough enough in the first game, I can understand the dislike for it - in the first game. Given how the animals' needs and behaviours will be different this time around, the argument that it's just the same doesn't hold that much merit. However, as long and the similaties and differnences aren't seen, we simply can't know how different they'll be.
It could still go either way. But there's no need to condemn it's probable inclusion from the start.

Because that piece of boringness will take the place of something that isn’t so stale and redundant, like daddy Deinocheirus for example. Thats why I don’t want it in the game. Every spot is holy, and with 5 places already being utterly destroyed by hybrids, that leaves no more spots for loser dinosaurs that only two people care about anyway.

I like Archaeornithomimus. I first saw it at Chinasaurs when I was 10, so I always thought it was cool.

How come people don't complain about Tsintaosaurus?
