State of the Game

...It was decided that the a-z orals would be alphabetical by the first three letters of the generic, which led to so many opportunities....
The binary logic one sometimes (well, okay, often) one finds with IT folks. Two stand outs for me:

On a mainframe (back in the day), we had Card Reader on port A, address P. It's acronym was exactly as above and in-line with the naming standards. So it stayed.

Then, many years and jobs later, there was the System's Engineers, eXperimental DEVelepment environment.

No. Really. When the IT director found out it's name got changed within the hour.

Sadly I had no part in naming either.

I still think jacques is salvation. He's old enough and had top secret spec ops military clearence back in the day and he's missing from the bar area. It would also make sense that he placed his base of operations well outside of the control over "The Club" (and their public arm, Aegis) that he opposes.

That would make for an interesting arch - something he's been planning for well over a hundred years. The main question is, what is his anti-xeno weapon. A new version of the mycoid virus or AI?

cat food eater.

Furniture carrier.

Hahahaha! I like that one too!

Not far from the truth if these petrol idiots keep carrying on the way they are.
I've eaten one of these and not completely convinced that it was originally intended for humans.

Eww. Any time I've looked at them they all have &@! sweetcorn in them. Ruining perfectly acceptable food with sweetcorn, I don't get it.
Yes, corn should always be served by itself.

And on the subject of food and proper serving states: I know a guy who likes grilled cheese sandwiches and he also likes hamburgers, but a cheeseburger is completely out of the question. I'm not joking.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I know two guys like that.

I'm sayin' nuffin!

I love pizza (at least the ones which don't contain pineapple) but abhor the conventional British "Cheese on toast" which has bubbly, smelly, burned cheese on and stinks...

(but a cheese and marmite toasted sandwich, given 20 seconds in the microwave after assembling, is divine)

I'm not sure you closely examined what that was, but I believe the only actual food in that IS the sweetcorn...
Sweetcorn is nice if it's fresh and just boiled on the stalk(?) - although our harvest this year was rubbish.
The sweetcorn in this thing is sort of wrinkled. The weirdest thing is you can't put it in the fridge because the fishy gravy stuff goes hard and you have to chisel it out with the little plastic fork it comes equipped with.

I was put on these every Friday as part of a keto diet. Last week bought an egg and bacon meal deal instead - It's still in my drawer reminding me I've not got any willpower.

speaking of pizza. can't link directly here due to language ...

Youtube this: it works well with the thread. You gotta listen to the end for it all to make sense :)
