Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Oh nice, coriolis.io fixed the engineering bug of Inara import! 🥳 I thought it won't be fixed so changed to EDSY, I think I should start anew in coriolis again.

Both tools are great actually, while EDSY interface give you all the details of your ship in a single glance (as long as your screen size fits) and the ability to save your engineering modules for easy access later on; the comparison function (both your custom builds and the base builds side by side) really make Coriolis.io shines!!

The one thing I’ve given up on is Settlement Defense Plans. They are just too rare. I think it’ll have to be adjusted. Meanwhile I don’t really need the engineer that’s locked so I’m waiting.
Got a lead on SDP's , this session I have done 6 download SDP missions. 7hr timeout for each mission.
I had 6 , now have 12, Not completing missions and keeping them. Lets see If I can get to 15 in the next few hours.

Currently got 14 in storage and backpack, having trouble leaving the taxis, they don't take off.
May be because I am level 2 notorious in this system. It's not pretty...... just need one more then I run for it.

edit : taxi problem solved by , boarding the taxi, then exit out to main menu, go to solo mode, it takes off. then exit , reload to open mode. traveling now..

The prespector limpet & the core mining thing, would try them later as my current main goal is meeting Selene Jean the B!t©h's 500 stupid crap unlock
....

Just in case you were not aware (although it is probably too late now anyway) - that 500t is stuff you have mined - you do not need to have sold it - so for me it is just a case of strip-mine everything, dumping it out of the hold as that fills up.

Yep, too late!! Just passed 300t last night. But that would leaving the grind completely waste of time isn't it? 😅 I sold them all anyway, and at the same time trying to tackle another grind of 50 different markets for unlocking F hole 😒 Lei Chung.

That went very well. Got all the SDP's I needed. Just can't go back to the system I pinched em from....for a while.
I think the trick is to be allied or friendly in the system. When they start giving SDP download missions, don't complete them.
let them hang open as there is 7 hours of time out. I kept going back to the station and more missions were appearing.
Now to become unfriendly with Sirius corp. Going to be hard todo as I am such a nice guy. :D 🍻🍻:coffee:

So you got them by taking missions and then abandoning them without turning in the SDP, is that it?

Meh. If that's the only way to get them I won't bother for now. I don't really need that engineer anyway. Or the Sirius one, really.

The game design in this particular area leaves something to be desired, I think :p

Went exploring and happened across an LTD-Tritium overlap. Thought it was my lucky day until I found zero LTD's and rubbish tritium yields.

Back to first disco's for me, then!
It's a shame they nerfed hotspots and overlaps so badly. They are next to meaningless now. Overlaps are definitely meaningless. I suppose they had to do it for 'balance' reasons. Or they just don't know how to make them work correctly lol. I really liked it when they mattered, though. It made finding one an event. Now I don't even look for them anymore.

It's the tritium yield that get's my salt pot out. If they could double the amnount you can get, it would make long carrier trips more enjoyable (for me, anyway) - have to mine another commodity or otherwise make cash to fill your tritium depot is a little frustrating.

And, while we're at it... why haven't the Brewer Corporation invented a fuel pipe that you can run from your carrier's hold to the depot?

I agree, there just needs to be more frequent random mats. Not abandoned the missions as yet they are still too time out.
This lets you keep a good reputation for a time, and they keep spawning missions. Some of the mission types will repeat at the same locations.
Some npc's had to be ended, so got notorious level 2 a few times. All good fun...:)

I haven't been making many credits lately, because I've been doing only on-foot missions and they don't pay very well in credits. It's mostly about the materials.

My poor fighter pilot has been collecting his 7% of almost nothing for quite a while, too. He's looking a little skinny.

So I decided to take out the T-10 and do some (hopefully) serious massacring of pirates in my favorite spot, where I am allied with everyone except the pirates. They hate me.

I wondered if it would still pay as well as before Odyssey. It did. I made a cool 94 million in about an hour and a half. That's more than I've made in Odyssey on foot since the launch. Way more, lol.

Flying the T-10 after weeks of flying the Viper MKIV was fun. It's so damn ponderous. It can barely turn. But gee it holds a lot of turrets. I have fun with it, for sure.
