Most engineered weapons do unengineered damage

So it is really a thing that has been proven??

I was doing RES combat this weekend for the first time in a while and I had the feeling that my PA's were not kicking as much as usual.

But I had no way of testing it more accurate so I thought that I must have just missed a few more shots or that they made the NPC's stronger or something...

It is a thing and you can tell by comparing the damage increase you see in game (go to outfitting and look at the modifications screen on a PA) and compare the damage increase multiplier with what Inara says. I guarantee the number in Inara will be much higher.

Patch to undo the engineering changes is allready sat in microsofts submision folder... as well as SIEs inbox...
Once both agree Fdev will release another patch as they allready stated when the PC version hit 7.01...
Nothing happens on sundays..

PLEASE NOTE:
Updates of this nature are in the pipeline for Console players. We're targetting next week for deployment of those (Certification time required).

Patch tomorrow/today...

My PA's are the hot kind. And they seem OK to me..
Rails fdl too seems OK.
Fragkrait too.
Haven't used other ships lately that have other wep types so can't say.

I was really enjoying three PAs on my FAS having returned to the game after something like a 6 month hiatus …

I‘ve engineered them with Focused / Oversized …turns out the C3 PA is now kicking out C4 damage (133) and the two C2s are delivering C3 damage (89) … so I’ve not suddenly become awesome , after all …

Checked my C3 Focused / Plasma Slug PAs as well and they’re showing a 7% damage increase rather than the expected decrease …

How? Just how?!! Was anything in this patch remotely related to weapon engineering or did a cat just run over the numeric keypad when the developers had the multipliers config class open?

Or maybe they’ve just decided to buff the Oversized experimental to +40% damage increase … which is fine by me … now let me just go engineer up a couple of C4s for my Corvette …

I have a FGS with 1 Large PA short range and 2 medium PAs with efficient, all Plasma Slug with premium synthesis - being outside the bubble I couldn't check the stats but they felt kinda week when I did PVE combat last weekend.

If I had known about this bug earlier, I'd loved to try out some of the mods where the bug made the weapon significantly stronger! :D

~145 damage per second has dropped back to 46.4 per second it was not that good on EDH approx x3 bonus, it did not effect console the same as PC as we never had EDO .EDO had 1 shot kill weapons upgrade with there EDO update multiplier...

In EDH the damage mods after update should no longer be gray they should now be returned to BLUE positive upgrades agains...

I remember a very old bug whre the long range upgrade to multi cannon turrets should fire 8 km far but stop fire at 3,9 km ...

It was focused and long range... were both disabled or only long range... as long range does not alter damage stats..
Long range was disabled because it said in the stats the fall off dmg started 1.5 KM. The one I got from the previous salvation CG was working correctly and I frequently noticed in combat the other two were saying "out of range" while that one wasnt.

Was just about to start experimenting with a long range thermal vent beam laser, but I guess I'd better stick with the engineered MCs and Frags for now.
