Hey FunGaming - can you please send us your save files for these issues so as dev can look into it? Cheers!Great update guys, thanks for the much requested barriers. And thanks for an awesome Animal pack.
But is there any info if the food spoiling option bug is fixed in this update where if you have food spoiling turned off that animals no longer get any food and they starve to death because there is some food in the habitat that they wont eat and since it wont spoil it doesnt get cleaned and therefore they dont get fed any food and since they dont eat that food in that spot they just starve.
Also if you have the defecating turned off then habitats dont get cleaned even if there is spoiled food in there it just lays there rotting away.
Really hope these bugs got fixed
Two hours, hm? How about 4+ hereNext two hours in the office are going to be the longest two hours ever
Everything looks great, thanks Frontier!
For me its definitely the path barriers. Just saw the first tutorials on youtube. It helps to make your zoo so much cleaner and building gets easier when you dont need to worry about guests running through your scenery/buildings anymore.EDIT: New diving requirements are my fave of this pack!
Oh by the way, is it not weird that the underwater plant feeder is a free patch addition while it can only be used by the beaver - a DLC animal? Would be nice if hippos and pygmy hippos could also use it.NEW - Animals
The following new food enrichment item is included in the free Update 1.7:
- Underwater Herbivore Feeder, available for:
- North American Beaver
Reassessed and updated biomes for the following animals:
- American Bison, now has suitability for Taiga
- Pronghorn Antelope, no
- Fixed the species names for:
- African Elephant, now African Savannah Elephant
- Babirusa, now North Sulawesi Babirusa
- Additionally, fixed the scientific name of Bactrian Camel and North Sulawesi Babirusa on education board and Zoopedia resources
- Red Kangaroos are now a walkthrough species
- Fixed the Gharial tails so they no longer pop and deform when near terrain whilst deep swimming
- Fixed Sun Bears rotating when performing a Climb to Walk action on a vertical thick beam
I'm sorry: who said that Frontier don't listen to nobody?NEW - Reduced Swimming Depth Requirements for the following animals
- After investigating and observing the performance of diving animals, we have made the following changes to depth requirements:
- The following animals have a minimum depth requirement of 2m:
- Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman
- Giant Otter
- King Penguin
- African Penguin
- North American Beaver
- The following animals have a minimum depth requirement of 3m:
- Gharial
- Saltwater Crocodile
- Grey Seal
- American Alligator
- California Sea Lion
- The following animals have a minimum depth requirement of 4m:
- Formosan Black Bear
- Grizzly Bear
- Polar Bear
- Sun Bear
- Bengal Tiger
- Siberian Tiger
- Jaguar
- Please Note: We have chosen the above values while considering both recommended water depth for the species as well as the actual performances of the animals in the diving system when subjected to more shallow depths. We've chosen the lowest depth values for each animal where we are confident the diving system will still work properly
Will do, btw how come favorites bug is still not fixed ? Its been an issue since the launch of the game where each time you restart the game all the items you favorite are messed up, example I mark 25 as favorites i save my game and quit my game but next time I reload my game the entire favorites list is a mess, i all of a sudden have items marked as favorite that I didnt mark myself and a bunch that i did mark as favorite got unmarked. I been reporting this bug since launch but decided to stop making support tickets since they expire each time. Hope its still being looked into. It was a problem once for Planco too but it got fixed at some point so i'm sure the same can be done for this game.Hey FunGaming - can you please send us your save files for these issues so as dev can look into it? Maybe it's planned but they haven't decided what exactly will use it.Oh by the way, is it not weird that the underwater plant feeder is a free patch addition while it can only be used by the beaver - a DLC animal? Would be nice if hippos and pygmy hippos could also use it.![]()
I find that food from an enrichment feeder may tumble into a water feature in the habitat. Then my animals can't (or won't) go in the water to eat it. So the animals get hungry but the keeper thinks there's enough food, not knowing that the food is inaccessible. So the keeper refuses to bring new food.

What about reseting the enrichment? Would that work?I find that food from an enrichment feeder may tumble into a water feature in the habitat. Then my animals can't (or won't) go in the water to eat it. So the animals get hungry but the keeper thinks there's enough food, not knowing that the food is inaccessible. So the keeper refuses to bring new food.
What I do is remove the water, adjusting the terrain as needed until the animals can climb down the bank and eat the food. That seems to reset the feeding cycle where the keepers now recognize that there isn't any food left in the habitat, so they bring more.
After dealing with this issue multiple times, I now place enrichment feeders well away from water features!
I think they mentioned it multiple times but if i remember correctly that has to do with your steam save settings in the steam app. Will do, btw how come favorites bug is still not fixed ?
Oh my. I never thought of trying that. What about reseting the enrichment? Would that work?
