The last year of DLC

So I conclude my trilogy of X year/s of DLC : 3 years of DLC and 2 years of DLC with this last one - The last year of DLC

My idea is we're getting 1 DLC this year plus 4 in 2022 and we and Frontier go on our marry ways.
I will hop on to popular idea of Aviary pack in December with 10 birds, so let's start there, here's how I would imagine Aviary pack looking:

1. Blue and Gold Macaw
2. Scarlet Macaw
3. Kookaburra
4. Toco Toucan
5. Scarlet Ibis
6. Red Billed Hornbill
7. Bald Eagle
8. Eurasian Eagle Owl
9. Andean Condor
10. Bearded Vulture

On to the 2022:

I would open the year with European classical style DLC pack. Accompanying this pack would be much requested classical zoo scenery and building pieces.
It would contain following species:

1. Alpine Ibex
2. Wolverine
3. Red Deer
4. Dalmatian Pelican
5. Fire Salamander (E)

Next I would continue with three animal pack to the end, and whatever missing scenery and building pieces that remain, cause I don't know which ones are requested, would be provided with accompanying free updates along with the foliage.

So having said that, and taking a look at yoav map, first one would be desert animal pack

1. Dromedary Camel
2. Striped Hyena
3. Emu
4. Caracal
5. Hamadryas Baboon
6. Honey Badger
7. Crested Porcupine
8. Texan Horned Lizard (E)

Next I would move to tropical area:

1. Capybara
2. Fossa
3. Ring Tailed Coati
4. Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
5. Maned Wolf
6. Red River Hog
7. Black Howler Monkey
8. Plumed Basilisk (E)

And I would end it with nice Endangered species animal pack:

1. Iberian Lynx
2. Tasmanian Devil
3. Amur Leopard
4. Scimitar Horned Oryx
5. Przewalski Wild Horse
6. Lar Gibbon
7. Coquerel's Sifaka
8. Axolotl (E)

So there it is friends, this is how I see it going down, still missing some of the animals I would love to see, but I couldn't fit them in.

More importantly I would love to hear from you, how would you do next 5 DLCs if support would end after 2022 ( Not saying that it will, just an idea)

I suspect we may see full support through all of next year, so 5 more DLC (assuming we get another this year). So this definitely fits that. And I will actually agree I suspect Avians and Europe to be the next two packs, and think a desert/grassland pack and a jungle/forest pack that's similar to your forest pack would be reasonably likely with the desert pack a bit more, just due to the relative lack of desert animals in the game. That 5th pack is the mystery and I like your choice.

I like your line ups too, of course I'd switch out a few here and there, but overall good picks. I would think we'd get a second otter though since we got a second pinniped and a second penguin, a second otter seems like it would be a good tie pack to the aquatic pack offerings. Aside from that though I think these lists are really really good, great job.

I have to think on my own for a bit though, since my themes are so close to yours! Though I had the thought maybe that last pack could be a "Fan vote" pack - say that Frontier, knowing the game was wrapping up, revealed both the second and third packs coming in 2022 at the same time, announced at the time of the second pack, and then also announced a fan vote pack for any animals not included in those packs that game mechanics could handle. It could run for oh...say a month or maybe two. That would give Frontier extra time to create the winners; while they may have some obvious ideas, they may not know for sure which animals to work on.

Challenge Accepted...

December 2021: Aviary Pack
8 Birds (I'm not gonna list the ones I want bc I honestly don't care and would be happy with anything... but a must have is the Bald Eagle)

February/March 2022: Europe Pack
4+1 Scenery Pack (the last scenery pack)
1. Alpine Ibex
2. Wolverine
3. Lynx
4. Red Deer
5. An exhibit animal
Bavarian/western Europe theming. I know there's a lot of themes to choose from but I think the bavarian/swiss theme would work nicely. We already have English/French and Scandinavian so I think my idea would work.

June 2022: Desert Animal Pack
1. Dromedary
2. Coati
3. Peccary
4. Scimitar Horned Oryx
5. Striped Hyena
6. Emu (or some other Australian desert animal)
7. Coyote/Jackal
8. An exhibit animal

Fall 2022: This is where it gets tricky. What I would want is...
Petting Zoo Pack
1. A species of horse/donkey
2. A species of cow
3. A species of sheep
4. A species of goat
Barnyard theming (there's so much potential here)

December 2022:
Endangered Species Pack
7 Habitat/1 Exhibit

As you can see, I like your ideas. I'm just happy to pretty much know that Frontier's support will carry well into 2022 and even possibly 2023!

So with only FIVE future DLC's, if I had to appease as many people as possible. I would choose:

EURASIA DLC (Europe is the last continent other than Antarctica that has not recieved DLC yet, a Eurasian DLC could also potentially incorporate species from parts of Asia that have been neglected ex: Middle East, Central Asia):
  • Lynx
  • Ibex
  • Red Deer
  • Wolverine (or Badger, or Raccoon Dog)
  • Przewalski's Horse
  • Saiga Antelope
  • Amur Leopard
  • European Legless Lizard (exhibit)

OCEANIA DLC (Oceania is severely lacking species still even after the Australia DLC released, the Oceania DLC would be a much needed booster pack and could also potentially incorporate species from New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South Pacific islands):
  • Platypus
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • Kiwi
  • Echidna
  • Emu
  • Tree Kangaroo
  • Wombat
  • Tuatara (exhibit)

SOUTH AMERICA DLC #2 (South America similarly to Oceania is still lacking species even after the DLC, Africa, Asia, and North America are already well represented and the South America # 2 could also potentially incorporate Central American species):
  • Capybara
  • Howler Monkey
  • Ocelot
  • Maned Wolf
  • Spectacled Bear
  • Sloth
  • Rhea (or Guanaco, or Alpaca, or Vicuna)
  • Golden Lion Tamarin (exhibit)

I think expansions could add new mechanics to the game, they would be larger than regular DLC's and they would ideally release around the holidays to maximize how many would sell.

AVIARY EXPANSION (flying mechanics, birds, new aviary habitats):
  • Macaws
  • Toucans
  • Eagles
  • Vultures/Condors
  • Pelicans
  • Ducks/Swans
  • Hornbills
  • Cockatoos
  • Secretary Birds
  • Storks
  • Herons
  • Cranes
  • Vampire Bats (exhibit)

AQUARIUM EXPANSION (fully aquatic species, fully aquatic habitats, aquarium exhibits):
  • Tiger Shark
  • Hammerhead Shark
  • Sting Rays
  • Sea Otter
  • Walrus
  • West Indian Manatee
  • Porpoise/Dolphin (personally I don't want cetaceans, but unfortunately there are several people in the community who do)
  • Multiple Aquarium Exhibits (ex: pacific octopus, clown fish, angelfish, seahorses, sea anemones, jellyfish, starfish) (exhibit)

Okay, if there are 5 DLCs left:

Europe Scenery pack (winter 2021)
Red deer, Alpine ibex, European badger, lynx + fire salamander
Dutch, Bavarian, Art Nouveau building styles

Forests Animal Pack (spring 2022)
Capybara, Black howler monkey, Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, Lar gibbon, Malabar giant squirrel, Maned wolf, Raccoon + panther chameleon

Deserts Animal Pack (summer 2022)
Addax, Striped hyena, Patagonian mara, Emu, Caracal, Sand cat, Hamadryas baboon + thorny devil

Endangered Animal pack (autumn 2022)
Przwalski's horse, Tasmanian devil, Indri, Grey shanked douc, Celebes crested macaque, Père David's deer, Northern hairy-nosed wombat + turquoise dwarf gecko

Not sure about the last one. Personally, I'd love an Extinct Scenery pack that focuses on learning from past mistakes and restoring parts of the ecosystem. It would logically follow the Endangered Animal pack.
Tasmanian tiger, Aurochs, Great Auk, Woolly mammoth + golden tree frog
Gothic, Greek, museum inspired building styles

If you ask me tomorrow, I will have different ideas lol

Just to be a nerd, there is only one species of each. The word you're looking for is breed.

(Well, technically - there are a few different bovine species that have been dimesticated independently, but 'cows' usually refers to Bos taurus and all associated breeds).
Yes, that's what I meant. You get the idea though. Just give me a classic black and white cow or a brown and white cow, doesn't matter to me.
