The "Odyssey dropping out of the blue" is a big retcon - we knew 2 years before they were working on something, then found out it was legs 6 month before it was due - then release was delayed 6 months, and consoles were dropped. Now it's not working right 6 months after that. Maybe the two games are similar after all

OTOH I did like some of the 'this is how you design a game' stuff yesterday - wish we had more of that for EDO, rather than the marketing spiel we got as 'Dev Diaries'. Not that anyone will care what the design process was once it drops
