Sets we'd like to see updated to flexicolor

So for those who might have missed it, as @Tim Smith put it, we had a little surprise in the latest update in the form of flexicolour limestone! This isn't the firs time the devs have been extending upon existing sets ( more mud wall pieces in the Africa Pack; flexicolour for the concrete set), so I decided to open up this topic.

For me personally, I tried to be as modest and conservative as possible, and I decided to restrict myself to the base game sets and the ones I felt are the ones that would benefit from it the most.

For starters, the corrugated plastic roof set. It feels like it was originally intended to be flexicolour, and it seems like the most obvious one to give flexicolour to. It's one of my favorite roof sets to use, and I think adding more color options to it would make it even more useful.

Second one, is the India building set. Now for this one, I decided to split it up a bit. As an MVP, I'd personally think that the basic set and its corresponding construction items (arches, blocks) are enough to make flexicolour, the trims and the murals would just be an added bonus, but I don't consider it to be a must. However, I do think that the texture of that set is extremely good and would benefit immensely from more colour options, as due to it's really bright orange colour it is today limited in what you can use it for. (Yes, I am aware that a mod exists. But I don't like duplicate sets, they just take up space)

Now finally, I'm going for maybe a bit of a controversial pick ( because I know we all would want everything to be flexicolour but I'm trying to limit myself to sets that have a uniform primary colour), but for my last pick I'm going for the thatch roofs. As much as I love the bright colours and I think it works well as freshly thatched roofs, we all know very well that thatch roofs do not stay this vibrant. Slowly, over time, they turn a brownish to even a greyish silver look, and I would love to be able to introduce that to the game. So my last pick goes to the thatch roofs.

So there you have it! These are my three picks for sets I'd like to see as flexicolour in the future, at least for the base game sets. Extras like the dry stone set or the corrugated roof set from the Australia Pack would be extremely nice to have, but in my eyes, these are personally the most essential ones from the base game.

And as a closing here, big props to the entire dev team for expanding on existing sets and bringing new life to them :D I really appreciate that!

Agreed. Tho I would personally switch out the sandstone for recolourable dry stone pieces. Was lowkey kinda hoping that would be the case since there seemed to be dry stone wall panels in the trailer for the North American pack 👀
But thatch that is more realistically coloured is something I have craved since the Beta

Great post, Iben. I fully agree with your suggestions. I would also add the possibility of having a flexicolour option or new alternative to the current classic red brick set, as clay bricks are a very versatile material that can be found in a huge variety of colours in real life buildings (from black to white and many tones of grey, yellow, brown, red, orange...).

Wouldn't it be nice? 🎶

I agree completely. One thing I would even add would be 360 degree rotatable pieces, very much like the Wall Panels we have been seeing as of late, particularly the Mud Set receiving multiple panels. Having these simple items be expanded upon the original sets would boost a bunch more life into several sets that have gotten a bit stale, and invigorate new life into the game :)

A big one for me are all the snow pieces, mostly because they have possibly the most uniform color out of anything in the game, but simply aren't that useful as they are now. Making them flexicolor would hugely expand the ways in which we can use them.
Also, if they add it to literally all the snow pieces, that would also mean flexicolor rocks of the base rock set shapes. Would be insane.

The one piece I'd really like to be flexicolour is that neat little glass roof piece with the sort of rounded canopied top that is currently just white. Like the corrugated plastic roofs, it seems primed for being flexicolour.

Great selection, the corrugated plastic roof and the Indian ensemble call for a flexicolour update!

I also add the oriental stone set. For example, being able to put in a yellowish-brown color would make a very interesting desert look.

Furthermore, it seems to me that this set would receive more pieces (just like the African set), as we saw in the trailer, but it wasn't this time.

I absolutely agree with the Plastic Roof (this one would be so nice in black or dark grey when I rebuild my Antarctic Research Center) and the classic Brick Wall (this one would probably look really nice in grey) also the dry Stone Wall Set (just remembered that I already wanted at least once to give it a brighter Color)

Yellow Snow Wall🙃
🤔 Recolorable Rocks of every Shape would definitely be nice. I've always imagined them anyways to be artificial instead of being made out of real Snow

The detailed log in the construction section - you know - the realistic looking old log the only natural looking one in Planet Coaster building pieces - would love more of that and to be flexi-coloured and have more options or pieces of it. Whomever designed it is a legend!

I would just like for the log to be turned 90 degrees so the logs lines can go horizontally instead of vertically, like most log buildings are. To clarify, I would like both for sure!

Breeze Brick would be great to have for Flexicolor. actually all of the wall/floor sets would be flexicolor if I had my way. But I really like the look of the Breeze Brick pattern opposed to the Painted Brick pattern, but I miss it not being Flexicolor. Also throwing in my vote for the Dry Stone as well.

(I'd also like to have all of these architectural wall and floor sets be given a taggle option to have advance movement options just like any other object, regarding axis and angles, but that's a whole other discussion)
