Struggling to find the power regulator building?

Find the nearest (powered down) terminal and use your energy tool to power it up via the socket on the bottom. Open the now working terminal, go to The facility tab, scroll down to the power centre and put a tag on the reactor.

Job done.

Can you still go round the base with the camera until you see the building with PWR written on it while you stand in safety?

Well, once you have night vision until then it's still easy to miss in the dark

Yeap.
Did a mission on my epic account (no engineering, just the store equipment) to retrieve something from a shutdown base.
Pitch black, no lights, no fires... no nightvision... pretty atmospheric.

Had no idea about the settlement layout, but got lucky (maybe experience helped too) and found the warehouse and the locker really fast - i did not had to power a terminal.

But yea, in such cases just make sure you have an e-breach and power the terminal, e-breach it if security rating is needed and find your target

Once the power is on, if there weren't scavs there before, there will be... oh yes.

Bring energy cells.

The Mav suit isn't fantastic at combat.

Open all lockers.

Sometimes you can avoind combat on exit by running like a cowardly baby out a long way then around the entire settlement to your ship or Apex. This is what I do.

Weird, I've yet to have scavs appear after I powered a settlement. Powered down, yes.

Used to happen, I thought they'd stopped that now - certainly rare / never now.
