Nit bad. I'd prefer the cat-like fossa over the ocelot, though. And instead of a reptile, I'd go with a ground dwelling bird, something like the Victoria crowned pigeon or a pheasant. Maybe the kiwi
Platypus is much more temperate than tropicalFrom my quick glance at the Metalist these are the top 10 rainforest animals. If we get an animal pack with 5 out of these 10 plus 2 outside the box options I would be happy.
Capybara (1)
Lar Gibbon (5)
Platypus (9)
Fossa (13)
Goodfellows Tree Kangaroo (15)
Red River Hog (21)
Brown Throated three toed Sloth (24) (two toed more likely as more common in zoos)
South American Coati (25)
Black Howler Monkey (26)
Ocelot (31)
My pick for 5 out of this
Capybara (South American)
Lar Gibbon (Asian)
Goodfellows Tree Kangaroo (Oceania)
Red River Hog (African)
Ocelot (South American)
Then two from outside of the box
Black Caiman (South America)
Spotted-tailed Quoll (Oceania)
exhibit
Panther Chameleon
Really want the howler monkey in the pack too and would prefer it over the black caiman however I thought a reptile would complete a good mix of animal types. And thought a small cat like the Ocelot would be welcomed.
Does someone know which species is more common in Oceanian zoos?*Matschie's vs. Goodfellow's is basically just an AZA vs. EAZA proxy, and as I'm from the US I have to side with the former.![]()
This is so interesting yet satisfying... I always wanted my marine pack to be bigger but with the picks you chose there’s something for everyone in the major requested groups.... except raysHere’s my wishlist/predictions:
Marine - December 2021
(This would be the last scenery pack before switching entirely to animal packs. Would include the coastal building pieces found in datamine. Introduces fully aquatic animals to PZ)
-West Indian Manatee
-Blacktip Reef Shark
-Green Sea Turtle
-Beluga Whale
-Pacific Octopus (Ex)
Amazon - March 2022
(Free update would improve climbing mechanics to account for arboreal-dominated animal content)
-Capybara
-Southern Tamandua
-Amazonian Manatee
-Linnaeus’ Two-Toed Sloth
-Black Howler
-Bald Uakari
-Coatimundi
-Red-Bellied Piranha (Ex)
Oceania - June 2022
(Accounts for stick insect found in datamine. Would boost the severely lacking Oceanian roster)
-Tasmanian Devil
-Emu
-Platypus
-Common Wombat
-Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo
-Little Blue Penguin
-Sand Tiger Shark
-Lord Howe Island Stick Insect (Ex)
Eurasia - September 2022
(Introduces multiple fan favourites from the meta wishlist, whilst boosting the almost non-existent European roster)
-Przewalski’s Wild Horse
-Eurasian Lynx
-Pacific Walrus
-Wolverine
-Red Deer
-Eurasian River Otter
-Crested Porcupine
-Red-Eared Slider (Ex)
Aviary - December 2022
(The first pack to include eight animals as well as new building pieces and fence types for aviary building. Introduces flying mechanics to the game)
-Scarlet Macaw
-Toco Toucan
-Bald Eagle
-Snowy Owl
-California Condor
-Rainbow Lorikeet
-Great Hornbill
-Livingstone’s Fruit Bat
Agree it’s more temperate than tropical but definitely found further north in rainforest territory such as the Daintree. Also why I didn’t include it in my pick for a pack as I feel it would be better suited elsewhere.Platypus is much more temperate than tropical![]()
Goodfellows by far.Does someone know which species is more common in Oceanian zoos?
