I used to hate facebook, and in some ways still do but personally I have come across many likeable people here and would like to know if people would like to share there facebook profile so we can all buddy up before the official launch?,

I know facebook isn't for everyone and totally understand why, so unless you have something positive to say about this suggestion don't bother posting.:smilie:

I hate the facebook too, but to be honest its one of the best marketing tools on the interweb.

I deleted my personal facebook account and started one specifically for the elite community stuff I'm doing.

my facebook is selezen lake. I'd be honoured for any eliteers to add me!

And also started a Facebook page for my little project, it is good for marketing, but you need a lot of people on you're friends list to start with, help build the momentum early so your page can thrive. it can be a lot of work, but i suspect it can also be a lot of fun.

I dont tend to add lots to my fb, but im easy enuff to find if you dare search psykokow or stick it at he end of the url

Oh, Faceboock... no comments, only link facebook.com/dobrijzmej but I have an almost empty.

However, I want to draw attention to the community in Google+ - in my opinion they make the communication between the users muuuuuch easier.

Yes, I'm already a member of the Google+ community and it is an easier way to communicate between fans than using FB friends stuff. Of course, FB also has a community function these days that works similarly, so it is just a matter of who happens to prefer which network.

Hehe, only really made that image for my FB page that is tied into my YouTube channel, twitter, website...

Also to keep in contact with ex work colleagues, to whom I was fairly vocal about the negative aspects of FB

One of the first comments I got on my wall(?), from a friend..

January 2004 Facebook is born and starts to expand.
October 2005 Facebook reaches UK universities.
September 2006 Facebook open to all over 13.
January 2011 Facebook has 600 million users
May 2012 Facebook floated on stock market.
January 2012(sic) Jay arrives on Facebook.
Mark Zuckerberg will later announce what a special day this is.

I find facebook rather handy for book promotion, but I don't use it for much else. I always make sure I join each social media next-big-thing to reserve my identity, but most don't come to anything. Facebook, Twitter and Youtube are the biggies.
