They fixed the sizes of the stegosaurids and ceratopsids!!!

I've complained before (a minor complaint) that the ceratopsids in JWE1 were all too similar in size to Triceratops and the stegosaurids were all too similar in size to Stegosaurus, when in reality, Stegosaurus and Triceratops were the largest members of their respective families. Well, that issue has obviously been fixed in JWE 2!

Take a look at these size comparisons for Chasmosaurus from JWE2 and JWE 1:

Chasmosaurus in JWE 1 was Triceratops-sized, about the size of an elephant. Chasmosaurus in JWE 2 is about the height of a person, its correct height! They fixed it!

Now look at Gigantspinosaurus:

Gigantspinosaurus is taller than a person in JWE 1. In this screenshot you can see it is much smaller than the passing vehicle. You can also see the Stegosaurus is the background, which is looking appropriately huge. They fixed it!

Well done Frontier! I don't think there was anyone who bought JWE 1 and wasn't going to buy JWE 2 solely because of the size issues with the stegosaurids and ceratopsids, so the fact that Frontier put time and energy into fixing this issue and listened to community feedback is just really, really impressive to me.

Well done Frontier!

My favorite stegosaur definitely got an upgrade from its previous counterpart in the first game because it was oversized in the first game and I'm happy to see we finally have a look at this beautiful Chinese stegosaur. Gigantspinosaurus to me looks so much better and the chunkingosaurus from what I heard actually looks better and I do agree just by looking at the image I saw of it during the preview of chaos theory.

The one image we have of huayango (my favourite stegosaurid) has also been foreshadowing a size change. It was more ambigious that what we've seen today, so it's great we've got further confirmation. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...g-the-new-huayangosaurus-size-in-jwe2.588747/

I think it's great. Adds more variety to their designs and makes them more natural-looking.

Yes I remember thinking that the Huayangosaurus looked smaller compared to the grass behind it but we couldn’t tell if the dinosaur was smaller or if the grass was just taller. This pretty much confirms that Huayangosaurus will be more realistically sized as well!

The Iguanodon was also too big I believe. Getting the range jeep next to one and it was massive. Unless they were just that big.

If anyone remembers the Stegosaurus scene from TLW that has always been issues with the dinosaurs size in the movies. I think the Brachiosaurus in the first movie were oversized as well. At least the scene with jeeps. Unless it was a perspective issue.

Anyway the JP dinosaurs have always been a bit bigger than their real life versions.

Good. Now give the Kentrosaurus larger/longer spikes.

And before people will be screaming “realistic” on google pictures the JWE kentro by far looks the most boring, colorless, and has the smallest spikes of all the kentro’s shown over google...

So pimp up this champion.

I think the Iguanodon was pretty close to the right size. Iguanodon was a massive animal.
