I got the game yesterday day 1 patch question

Hello, will there be a patch on the 9th? Its pretty common so i just wanted to ask. So i don’t play the unpatched version. Hope you can help, thank you.

But i can i have the physical copy for xbox. (Its common here to get pre ordered games earlier). So will there be a patch or not thats all i need to know.

We don't know when the game hasn't been released yet. Patch's are done for bugs and such, but Frontier doesn't know what they are until anyone's played it. Basically, none of us can't predict when updates are done.

Not sure about literally day 1, but I think there being a minor patch in the first week seems likely.

There really shouldn't be too many major problems on the disk version, the consoles do go through a reasonable amount of beta testing before printing.

I know i asked the same thing at jwe 1 release but i thought someone here knows as its the official forum. Seems pretty bug free , dinosaurs sometimes move weird but thats about it so far. So im good i think. Finally have some time to play. 🙂 sry my english.

For physical game releases the gold version has to be ready at least 1 month ahead of a game's release to allow lead time to produce & ship the physical media.

Development doesn't tend to stop in between gold version and release, it will continue right up to the wire so pretty much any game that has a physical release these days will have a day zero patch to bring it in line with the current build.

Whilst nothing has been stated officially it's probably quite a safe bet to assume there will be a day zero patch for those who install the game from disk.

Correct, there will be a patch on day 1 as Jens announced in the lasted "Dev Journal and Day Launch information" News post.
