The Democratic Fleet had won battle after battle. They'd faced down the Dictator of Lave, Harry Handsome and demanded an e-book and they'd got it. The Battle for Print on Demand was long and bloody, but again the Democratic Forces, eventually pulled a victory from the jaws of defeat. And although they know that the Enhanced version is probably never going to happen. They want the Short Film in any form they can.
One last time, one last battle, the forces for democracy on Lave pull themselves together, ships are repaired, possible laser blasters are polished (if approved by Frontier) and helmets are donned. Alan Strowd raised his power sword above the horde of pilots and roared, 'I am Alan Quintus Maximus Strowd, Writer of a Book, Teacher of Film Students, Correcter of Bad Fozza Fan Fiction. And I promise you. Here, today, we draw the line against mediocrity. We fight for honor, we fight for glory, we fight for authorised fiction!' And the crowd-funders roared.
I promise my writing doesn't appear in the book, Allen Stroud's does. His goal of getting the book written is done, but with four days left, we're only 1900 pounds short of seeing the film made too. I've donated all I can that won't lead to my new wife divorcing me, so I'm asking the community to rally around Allen and see that stretch goal complete before the kickstarter ends in 4 days. You can find it: here
I hope Allen doesn't kill me, but I would really like to see this goal reached and the film made.
