Empire happenings: Allied Imperial pilots attacked the Federation as they tried to grab as many former Mahon systems as they could. We successfully prevented Federation expansions to LTT 4461, Arany, and Harima. -§- Aisling successfully expanded to Asurasairu with over 1.4 million merits in hauling completed. The Federation attempts to stop it fell flat. Sour grapes: sometimes things are worth more than a 2CC cost when somebody else wants them really badly. -§- Torval successfully expanded to Wulganda amid one of the most epic week-long battles between Empire and Federation pilots in recent memory. The Federation expended over 900K merits to stop Torval, only to lose by around 4.7K. This was due to Imperial pilots killing Federal underminers while they carried merits. This is the second time in recent history that Senator Zemina Torval humiliated Federation attempts to stop her expansions, and she is currently preparing to expand to Gran. -§- Arissa Lavigny Duval missed our expansion by 12K merits. Our efforts there were a little late, but we managed to hold Federation attention and have some great fights while our allies expanded. This is what we do, we fight!

This was an exciting cycle. The score is six ZYADA allied expansions to just three Federation expansions. I want to take a moment to thank the efforts of every pilot who helped. Whether PVP, forting, or expansion merits you were amazing. There's an after-cycle victory celebration in Haroingori, our Aisling friends are buying the alcohol!

Combat and Opposition:
Oppose Hudson's expansion to Nganeru. Expect hostile players to be present.

I congratulate your pilots for some good battles, and playing Open.... Sadly we could not remove merits from Torval's alt army, as instancing is impossible when they do not play in open ;) Here's to another fun filled cycle... see you in the black, those that are brave and honest enough to PP in Open :) deploys hardpoints

Hey Tarkus, big GG to all ALD. It was a fun and fair fights, lots of kills on both side.
I'm really happy that powerplay is finally moving again. Hope it will be like this more often !

One down side is that, I know you had a mission to protect the space for Torval, but for who exactly ? They all in PG/Solo anyways, you don't protect anyone, you just bother UMers that play the game fairly and in open like LL. So one thing that ALD should do in the future is been focused on her expansion (honestly you would've have it, some of our PvErs cannot PvP and would've left the CD-62 building really quick). Protecting PG players that cannot be stopped is way less honorable in my opinion (since it's a war of grind).
But well, seeing lots of expansions this cycle made me very happy and hopefully will bring excitement on both side !

Also please FDev, make Horizon and Odyssey open world a unique server quick, I'm tired of people in 2 differents servers working on the same task....
Fixing instancing would help too, we had more than 20 peoples (5 wings) in Wulganda and the imps only saw the 4 around the navigation beacon. (it would avoid calling us PG / Solo users in the future)

I would like to point out that I serve Torval and for that entire expansion effort I played in open, not once did I come across any players trying to stop me. With that being said I am an horizons player on xbox. I know there are xbox fed groups out there, but I didn't see any.

Open playing power protects 99% solo/PG power from PvE competition. Loses right to call themselves "open only"? This is a carbon copy of Trepin - Torval can only win with LL attacking the Feds, who are reliably in open. Open only, even. Arissa's are the best of the Empire, why stooge for the invisible alts propping up Torval?

You and two guys on PC then (Oolong and Alison, the only ones ever seen in any expansion, and this time they actually allowed themselves to be engaged - good on them).

Hey Tarkus: You squished my corvette like a bug. I can't feel too bad about it. I was out of ammo and my shields were down to 37% when you yanked me out of cruise and wouldn't let me run. I was aligned with Hudson at the time so fair game. Cost me 760 merits! Good work.

But really, I'd rate my combat skill at 4 out of 10 so I would have lost the fight anyway.

So much to learn.

I've been with Arissa for a week. I'm glad I came across this post because I didn't know where to look to support the ALD community.
