What is really going to blow our mind is to realize that those same bad news are probably CIG´s current most optimistic and marketable view. And we all know how short those views fall when it comes to actual delivery. There is a huge amount of bad news tucked away in that SM Q&A.
Wouldn't say doom. But certainly the death of certain grand CIG promises (& pre-sold elements). And years and years of further delays all queued up.
I'm sure there'll be plenty of time to discuss those in the interim though![]()
Never believed their singular shard stuff and the whole "coffee cup always stays there no matter what" stuff anyway, so for me its good that they've finally given us a rough timeframe for when we'll see SM + Pyro. There is a huge amount of bad news tucked away in that SM Q&A.

The thing is: Maybe Bethesda is actually trending away from MP and moddability?Yup.
Todd recently said in a reddit Q&A that Starfield will have the same degree of modding support as all their other games. The thing is: Maybe Bethesda is actually trending away from MP and moddability?
Yeah, set the record straight on some of their insane promises that weren't gonna happen anyway, and gave us a timeframe for server meshing. Dont get the dooming over this.Your analysis of it is different i presume?

They are not. The recent Tod interview confirmed that. There will be modding support for Stratfield, for example. The thing is: Maybe Bethesda is actually trending away from MP and moddability?
Chris didnt say it this time in some fancy presentation or a roadmap roundup, seems to be the actual network team writing it.Doesn't matter whether you personally believed it, its what CIG said. If you don't believe what CIG say then, welcome to the club of dirty FUDster skeptics!
I'm sure going forward there will be many people proclaiming they never believed it (although i can almost guaranteed if you dug through their post history on reddit or spectrum you might see a very different story).
But CIG giving dates for things and then failing to deliver is nothing new. Not sure why you think this time will be different.
I take SC for what it is. Just like I take Elite these days.meh - you can play the game without believing all the hype - look at Mole. The DOOM does seem overstated - the project will stagger on for years yet, throwing promises overboard as they go. I doubt the true believers will have any problems incorporating any changes into their beliefs ... if they can't see the project flaws by now they never will![]()
What network team. There is one token person in a sea of artists poking about and picking up a paycheck while Turbulent does all the actual work to get something, anything, out the door.the actual network team
The guys they hired to do the networking maybe? Do you actually think they're fake? lmaoWhat network team. There is one token person in a sea of artists poking about and picking up a paycheck while Turbulent does all the actual work to get something, anything, out the door.
