Option to continue playing campaign scenario after finishing

It's fairly common in park builders to let players continue to keep building on their parks after they finish all the missions before moving on to the next scenario.
Right now, when you finish the mission you immediately get transported to the next scenario and map. Sometimes you'll be in the middle of building something. Or sometimes there's still expeditions to finish.
It would be nice to have the option to stay a while and play around some more. And then having the option to continue to the next scenario whenever the player feels like it.

I agree. I quite enjoyed the campaign mode--catching new dinosaurs from the wild and things. It was a different vibe from the other modes. I'd have liked the option to go for longer.

Do dinos used on campaign unlock in sandbox?

Like, the Allosaurus--if that's already unlocked, I can skip that on my grind. Will save 5 minutes and a couple of million.

What I am hearing and seeing is that some dinosaurs that are captured or imported to your location from other areas of the countries count as being "unlocked" However I cannot guarantee that will happen in all instatnces

Yes, personally I've only played the campaign so far. And all the dinosaurs that I captured in the campaign mode were unlocked in sandbox as well. But because I could not continue playing the scenarios after finishing all the objectives, I couldn't capture Dilophosaurus and Deinonychus, so I missed out on unlocking those.
I will of course play the other modes. But If a player is less interested in the other modes it would suck for them having to grind for those species when they missed out on them in the campaign.

The main campaign has some pretty maps and set ups that, you hardly get to enjoy before you win. It'd be great either to allow endless play on campaign missions or have all the maps available in challenge?

As I said, the scenario often ends before capturing all the wild dinosaurs.

It should be easy enough just to enable fossils/hatcheries/full tech on completion of mission if you hit continue, so you can keep playing unlimited ?
