Seriously, the most fun ship in the game I've tried, which includes many up to Anaconda and Cutter, with Kraits and Chieftan on the way.
OK the Courier engineered with 3A performance enhanced dirty grade 5 drive distributors and light weight everything to keep it fast but still combat capable. 2D shields, 2A power plant engineered and multi canons to keep 3D power distributor draw down - it's charge enhanced 5 supercaps of course.
My combat skills are middling, but the likes of NPC Anacondas and Alliance Crusaders almost can't land a hit - I use chaff a lot with this ship.
I lost the battle with the Crusader because I boosted into it by accident and the Courier just popped like a balloon. I need more practiced with it, but I laughed

I normally do combat in a heavily engineered Krait II which is a real tank in comparison.
Any other iCourier fans with tips for keeping a Courier light and fast in combat let me know.
I'm still useless with fixed weapons - running gimbelled MCs as I rarely hit the target when I tried fixed. I will finish rapid fire auto loader engineering soon. I do Overcharged MCs on bigger ships that fight at longer range for less jitter and better accuracy.
I don't want to down size to any kind of Eagle as the Courier has just enough space for hatch and collector limpet controllers and a few limpets for the missions I like to run.
