The Hunt For Theta Seven - You Could Win 750,000,000 Cr!

Testament is currently in the Lodhary System
Don't have time to find the other two. Good luck CMDRs o7
Indeed it is.

You can find the Testament near Lodhary 1, close to drop-in.

I scanned the Testament's ship log uplink. It reveals some propaganda (of course) as well as the ship's current flight plan.

You'll find a steady stream of NPC vessels belonging to the 8th Dragon Squadron popping in and out of the area. No aggression thus far.

I then scanned the ship's hackable comms array but that didn't result in anything useful (predictably so, in retrospect I guess).

EDIT:
Among the NPC vessels that I encountered was a wing of 2 ships, one being a Type-7, no less. Significant? I wish that I found myself out here with something other than my exploration ship. I would have risked a more interesting probe of that ship!

EDIT2:
While writing this up, anothe Type-7 showed up. It was alone and Wanted. With my current ship it's difficult to perform useful surgery on other vessels. I engaged the Type-7 but just ended up destroying it.

onward...

There's a little bit of me that's thinking the far god cultists have at least found a way to interact with the thargoids, or control them to a certain degree. Their ships are always seen at the cultists bases so what is drawing them there and are they leaving things?.
They may also be the main supply for the NMLA goid bombs and probably why T7 went there, which probably won't end well for humanity.
As for Salvation being T7. I'm not sure if his behaviour fits... but who knows.

Thargoids leaving/delivering the escape pods they collect? Or drawn by Thargoid/Guardian Tech contained inside?

Don't forget that independent pilots voluntarily gave the Far God cult thousands of tons of Thargoid samples just about three years ago (Zavijah CG, Sept 3304). They said they would keep that stuff as holy relics, but we have no idea what really happened to them, and it's pretty clear that whoever was calling the cult's shots back then isn't in charge anymore.

This could be a possible cause for the recent thargoid attacks; the Far God megaships went on a tour of Pleiades, Witch Head and California nebulas with Theta 7 "and his closest aides" stowed away, along with their weapons (as per the decoded message) that are likely caustic bombs based on thargoid tech - and in response the thargoid presence ramped up significantly leading to attacked stations.

Nice one, and it could explain where T7 has been getting his bomb making resources from... so maybe and more likely, T7 & FGC are working together.

That's quite interesting, which suggests it wasn't Salvation's fault that the goids attacked.
It would definately be well within T7's MO to go in guns blazing...

Can someone point me to the complete list of the traffic reports locations?
Hello fellow CMDRs,
I'm not sure if it still matters but I managed to get the two missing traffic-logs.
They are "hidden" near the two settlements "Ballard's Destiny" and "Hartog Settlement".
Hopefully you code cracking experts can make any progress with that.
Guten Flug! o7

More like Theta Seven's unknown "benefactors" could be Salvation.
Honestly, it's probably just the NMLA being referred to. The Galnet articles placed particular emphasis on the absence of reason why the NMLA's dark-comms network was not used.

“Unfortunately the message has been encrypted using a pre-arranged cipher key, without which its contents are unreadable. It is unclear why this wasn’t transmitted via the NMLA’s dark-comms network, which remains undetectable despite our best efforts.”

Speaking for myself only, I would err on a detectable, potentially less secure comms network before using a means I suspected to be compromised.

If Theta 7 doesn't trust NMLA anymore, that's a big deal, since Theta 7 was the mastermind of the bomb attacks led by the NMLA. If T7 is off the scene now, the NMLA is completely toothless, and authorities can act with impunity against NMLA.

Besides all that, it doesn't really weigh-up that T7 and Salvation are associated, although since abandoning the NMLA, maybe Theta 7 is trying to establish an association? But their agendas are, to date, polar opposites.

Use of Thargoid-based weaponry by T7 is yet to induce an attack by Thargoids as far as I'm aware, meanwhile Salvation's use of whatever technology they used to secure Cornsar at least on the surface did provoke a Thargoid attack. Meanwhile, T7's agenda is pretty peppered with destruction through a campaign of vengeance against other humans. Meanwhile, Salvation's towed a line of protecting humanity, albiet if you read between the lines it's potentially "protect humanity at any cost".

Although there's nothing to suggest it, it reads more like T7 and Salvation may even be opposing forces, playing out a shadow/puppet war with an unknown agenda.

Yet he used the plural, so more than one, a group even.
Who says Salvation is working alone? There was even a theory on Galnet that he's the leader of an Aegis splinter group. Not that the Aegis connection is necessarily true, but I do agree with the idea he's the face of a larger organization separate from his contract with Taurus Mining Ventures.

In the future, it would be nice, if FD could do some puzzles that can be solved by more than 5 % of the players, on their own, without doing some studies at the MI6.... 🙄

Which leads to puzzles that are basically solved minutes after they are released and everyone who was offline at the time complains they are being excluded from taking part because they are so easy to solve. FDEV can't win in this regard, either they take a while to solve and everyone gets a go but people complain because they are to hard, or they are solved instantly because they are so easy and people complain because it's was basically a nothing event.

When you subtract all the numbers you'l get "-17301" i assume that it has to be with HIP 17301
Well thats my thought maybe it will be helpful . CMDR MRSHOEN
Your probably right, just a novice here, correct me if I'm wrong, frequency distribution negates substitution, subtraction seems likely.
