ASP driving me crazy!!

Upgraded from a type 6, had to strip the ASP bare to get a jump range that would allow me to continue my profitable trade run. Since I stripped the ship it is constantly beeping at me.. beep,beep beep...... So I have my favorite bands blasting away in the background to drown out this annoying noise..

Anyone know what the cause is? I thought it was because I sold my shields. Have just spent 6 million on upgrades (including shields) The <snip> ship is still beeping. Never had this issue with the Hauler,Cobra or type 6, all of those ships have been stripped and rebuilt at some point.

No man, nothing to suggest anything is wrong with the ship. It kinda sounds like the shield recharge noise. The sound disappears while SC is active, as soon as I'm back under normal propulsion the sound returns. Driving me <snip> crazy

Really hope someone can help, or I'm missing something obvious.

btw, the ship is now heavily upgraded, power plant, jump drive, shields etc.. No reason why it shouldn't function normally.

EDIT - Just logged back in after the patch update... Ship is back to normal, must have been a bug.

i experience something similar in my Cobra MK3. Some...ticking sound that seems to have no source. It is steady and even in the station, when i get ready for a jump it gets quicker, after the jump its gone for a while until i dock into a station, when it starts again. drives me nuts

Yeah that's exactly it, it get's faster as the drive is charging it up. Will go for a test flight and pray it never comes back.


EDIT - Just landed and it's back.... This is <snip> crazy...

So I shut down every module in the ship, even life support. No luck.. So where's the circuit breaker for the seatbelt alarm on this piece of junk?

Thanks buddy, but I had already stated that I added 6mil worth of upgrades to try and resolve the problem.

@Exo, I guess I could resell and re-buy.. Would lose my upgrades tho. The problem has vanished again, it seems that if I log out and back in the problem goes for a little while.

It is definitely a bug, I will ticket it & hopefully the devs can help. In the mean time I have Nirvana,smashing pumkins and Queens of the stone age drowning out the beeps ;)

I've had this in my Viper and Cobra 3, seems to activate after launching from space docks. Logging out and back in again gets rid of it.

C3 power dist + coupling, D5 frame shift, D5 thruster, B5 power plant (plenty of power to spare) a bunch of weapons and utility's and 64T cargo racks.

As mentioned, it has to be a bug. If I log out and back in the noise stops, after a few jumps it comes back. Ship can be dead cold with no power output and it still beeps.

I should get some compensation from Lakon for this, perhaps a discount on the Type-9 ;)
