Alt and main account on Steam ?

Hi all,

Easy question for you:

Since ED is currently on sale on Steam, I was considering getting another copy to have an alt explorer account.

Any tips & advice on how to handle a main & an alt, both on Steam ? Do I need two Steam accounts and switch at that level, or two FD launcher accounts ? Or is it just a nightmare & I should wait for an FDev sale ?

Not sure about Steam accounts (although I expect that two would be required) - two Frontier accounts will be required as each one only accommodates one CMDR.

While the e-mail address associated with the Frontier account needs to be unique, the store accepts GMail accounts with "suffixes", e.g. user@gmail.com and user+CMDR#2@gmail.com are considered unique by the store but will send all e-mail to user@gmail.com

I haven't seen the game on sale at a discount on the Frontier store for quite some time.

1 - Yes two Steam accounts, each with their own frontierstore account. (Logging on and off steam accounts to switch between them is very easy.)

2 - There has not been a sale price offer for E D on Frontier Store for several years.

I have 3 accounts, one through Steam, one through Frontier, and one through Epic. All of them use different email addresses though.

Hmm, I never knew you could run Steam and Epic instances at the same time. I just gave it a try and it booted into the game fine. Don't know that I'd want to play it like that, but it's definitely interesting.
