About the time I had enough ARX stashed to give my 'toon a decent outfit that option vanished from the menu. 'twas the intro of Odyssey that stole it away from us console scum. And now.... alas.... salt is being poured into the wound with news of discounts denied to me. Woe. Massive woe.

Just to add something constructive to this point of discussion, I think it would be nice and a good idea to increase the opportunities in-game to be rewarded with paint jobs/ship kits etc. I know these take time and money to create, but a few unique variants as rewards for specific community engagement in-game or otherwise would be a fun thing to do a little more frequently, and I don't think that would totally pull away from Commanders spending Arx (a lot of us do every black friday/holiday season) but it would give Commanders something else to work towards, and give access to things people might be cautious in purchasing without getting a feel for it first such as the weapon skins.

If they are good for you then that would put them in the health supplement/medicine category, things are only food if they taste good* and are bad for you.

*therefore things like onions, garlic, chilies and most vegetables are not in food groups which are basically chocolates, cheeses, chips (not crisps), meat and alcohol. Other opinions on matters of taste are available even if they are wrong.

Some feedback though: I would've also purchased some skins for my on foot weaponry, if they weren't so expensive. They are twice as much as the rather rare ship paint-jobs and 5-6k arx for only one good looking one is far too much. There are also no "low cost" ones. Prices are from 3150 and up. Ship-skins are starting at 700 though.

The other thing that put me off even looking at the weapons skins is the lack of filters, at the cost I couldn't be bothered looking through that many pages to decide it wasn't worth buying something.

Hiding the categories at the bottom of the page didn't help my experience with the store.

Pity the Black Friday deals for Ships doesn't include the Carrier Ship KIts:(.....................Still with all my free ARX I'v been accruing, I bought one anyway:)
Here's hoping that the Festive giveaway is back next week. to bolster my pot again;)

It would be fun if you could buy skins for your crew so that you could see them.
Obviously that would mean allowing the crew to sit in the totally empty cockpit...

I mentioned something similar here- its money FD are flushing away really.

NPC SLF pilots: make more of them using the mechanics we have

SLF pilots have to be the ultimate work from home guys, using the Elite internet galactic hyperweb to control ships. So please FD, lets make SLF pilots do more- so much can be attached to them to really make that A-Team vibe. In this light: Make them visible in your ship- for the love of...

For me, the biggest thing missing from ED is crew management.
Sandro wasn't keen for it back in the day, giving some brush off on a livestream, and last time I asked I got this:

Is there a stance on 'cut scenes'? (I consider Elite all the better for having none.)

@sallymorganmoore Please, please, PLEASE make it a permanent addition to the store. I want them all but I can't possibly afford all of them right now. :(

I had now good use for BF lowerd prices, and slowly starting building up (for Odyssey) my alt account which I not used for some time ... :) ... it was really good to disembark in Colonia region, it's so much different.

And I also got reply from Frontier store support: If you do have account purchased from Frontier store, will link it to Steam, and then on Steam purchase Odyssey DLC it will work for that account.

  • Yes, 10000%. Promise.
    • We're all still working toward Update 9, targetting early December release as previously stated - so watch this space for news on that as soon as it comes in. I'm really excited actually.
    • Once again, thank you all for the conversations we have here in the forums in narrowing down harder on main offending issues.
      • We continue to be on the case, but this thread won't be a place to get answers about their progress. I'm trying to keep the feedback channels as narrow as possible, for productivity sake.
How are the team working on addressing outstanding, high priority issues for Elite Dangerous Horizons and Odyssey at the same time as making content for the store?
  • Developers focused on store content are a subset in skill all of their wonderful own. We are not taking time away from core code, for example, to bring such things to the game today.
    • We would also not expect the creatives behind store content to fix such things as core code issues either - again, subset skills - Just trying to be as transparant for you as possible with this o7

I am still unable to access my Steam Wallet even with linking my Elite Dangerous account. I have tried resolving it through your tech support but it still has not been resolved.

Wait. They changed the Midnight Black paint jobs?

I've been looking forward to Midnight Black since I first saw the screen shots, but now that I finally see them in the store, they look nothing like they did. They're not black. Just boring grey. How disappointing.

@sallymorganmoore , I was honestly expecting a Fleet Carrier Midnight Black paint job and I'm still hoping for a Fleet Carrier Chome(d) one by New Year's Eve... please, very much please!!
