What do you think would be in an Early Cretaceous pack?

It's my favourite time period and I'm curious what other people think.

I feel like an Australian species has a solid spot there, hard to say what though.

Seeing how we don't have any proper examples, I'd assume probably 3 species, but 4 seems about as plausible.

The top Early Cretaceous suggestion remaining from the old megathread was Concavenator by my count, 33 of 122 people suggested it (up to post 805, though I only noted dinosaurs).

Other Early Cretaceous suggestions of that thread with 5 or more people behind them, by order of popularity (^ denotes equal to entry above):
Utahraptor
Hypsilophodon
Minmi
Irritator
Psittacosaurus
Wuerhosaurus^
Bajadasaurus
Yutyrannus^
Ichthyovenator
Peloroplites^
Gastonia
Leallynasaura^
Pelecanimimus^
Agustinia
Neovenator^
Patagotitan^
Sauroposeidon^
Microraptor
Oxalaia^

I really hope the DLC has a JP themed aviary or something like it. I also hope it allows us to use aviaries in the JP themed park builds. I don't know what dinosaurs or reptiles would be in it. But it's kind of odd that they are pushing out a DLC so soon. Hopefully it comes with an update patch that fixes some bugs and other issues.

How long did it take for JWE to get a new DLC?

round about half a year for JWE1 DLC
Game released in June? and Dr. Wu's Hybrids DLC came out in november followed by cretaceous pack in december

how ever better they go the way for new dino dlc's then selling us collerations or patterns. (although that would be a money machine. 1 color for 1$) ;)

4 species, looks fair to me.
I was hoping for more customization items but I don't complain. Looking forward to it and for a patch

I think the DLC is way too early, especially we have enough dinos and they are not the problem. Furthermore they are not immediately freely playable in sandbox mode anyway. We are all missing scenery items, single trees/bushes and other decorative objects like dino statues such as the fantastic animal ones in planet zoo. Also a smaller tool brush and please an option to turn off the placement effect. That would be really important...

the people making new animals and animating them wouldn't generally be the same people adding those other gameplay features you're suggesting. Yes, I agree there are probably more pressing matters. But I welcome a DLC such as this. The animals all look quite nice. It's good to have a bit more variety, especially for the aviaries and lagoons.

And while it's still very early, often these DLCs are paired with free content updates. Personally I'm hoping for some quality of life stuff and maybe the inclusion of stuff like JP era aviary and JP3 Pteranodon. And perhaps more sandbox options. Those things seem to be high on many people's lists.

Having more species is always a great thing. I for one am excited for this new DLC. I too also hope an update comes with the DLC, to fix some bugs, maybe give quality of life improvements; like decorative single trees from the last game. The game has only been out for a month, so I think Frontier will do all they can to make a good game, a better one.

New animal DLC already?! Interesting choices, particularly the focus on China and Australia... also the whole "Early Cretaceous" and not just Cretaceous thing... makes me very curious about what may yet come...

Also maybe worth noting: Wuerhosaurus was on the list of cut JPOG animals... could this be a hint at something?

I honestly feel there's plenty of dinosaurs in the game at the present time. More than enough. What I'm looking forward to mainly is any customization and QOL improvements they have to announce going forward.

Honestly, if they rolled out packs of build items and customization tools with hundreds of items, and they wanted to charge me $30+ for it. They can have my money.

I think more dinos doesn't mean we're not gonna have fixes and improvements (such as placeable trees).
We'll probably have both, free patches with improvement and fixes and pay contents like dinos.

It was like this with the first JWE, probably it will be the same way with JWE2.

I just hope pigs and cows feeders leaks were real because I literally can't wait to have them :D

Frontier can do more than one thing at a time. Dino packs are often accompanied by updates that add and fix various things in the game. Have patience, the dino pack proves they're listening to us and are working on what we want and need.
