State of the Game

The one that stuck out for me was 'Naomi in the ship' where they never made it clear that the ship was disabled/a trap and it seemed the entire episode was her wandering around and emoting. If you knew what she was doing - by reading the book - it was ok, but anyone just watching the tv must have been very confused. All it needed was her to mutter a few words to herself .. meh.

i thought it was pretty obvious the ship was a trap. the dude was wiring explosives up prior to leaving her on it. and they made it pretty clear by talking about the plan that they were using her to lure the rocci there.

For me the worst casting isn't on the TV - it's in my brain :) In the books when Admiral Trejo was introduced I always thought of

(Edward James Olmos as Admiral Adama in BSG)

and so in most of the books I end up thinking 'no, you can't do that!'. (The perils of visualisation :) )

I'm trying to visualize

Amos in the series with Protomolecule black eyes. As if Amos could get more intimidating :D

But we may never see it :(

the proto molecule would have tried bonding with the galactica and adama would have convinced it that it would have an easier time getting the hell off his ship.

Is it sad that I know the release time for shows on D+, Prime, Flix and Apple TV+
When commuting in London I knew exactly where to stand on each tube-platform for the doors and carriage necessary for the best exit for my specific onward connection/exit. Even now Mrs PiLhEaD says 'How do you know this stuff!?'

One thing that still strikes me as odd is that in the 12+ years of taking more or less the same (tube) train into London and sitting in more or less the same carriage, that I didn't ever recalling seeing the same person twice. One of my colleagues who commuted in on the mainline/overground formed a bridge-four with fellow commuters.

I concur, there were no surprises there, after she jumped the airlock and then landed "there", I knew what was going on...I didn't know what she was doing until she landed there but once there...

Much more PG than what would have happened if the proto-molecule had been added to Mass Effect.

:D S

Chanel no5 and a smile.

Seriously though, it will probably be whilst I'm on dialysis (do we know the actual time?) in which case it will be jogging pants and a hoody. I would go for the tux but it would be a bit fiddly to get the needles in :D

You're there to get your blood filtered not grab a date with one of the nurses.

Btw been meaning to ask are the sanduits still terrible?
It's the same ultra-basic range but I actually like tuna mayo which is one of them, so I mustn't grumble. End of the day they're running a dialysis centre not a cafe, I have bigger things to moan about and at least they do feed us something, plus they make a good brew.

I can take anything I want in with me, I could spend literally the entire four hours feeding my face if I wanted. Only trouble is I only have effectively one hand free during it (needles in the other arm) although the nurses are awesome and will cheerfully unwrap anything I can't manage using the hand/mouth combo. Can't praise them enough really, they're awesome.

I now understand a common formula in short threads here:
  1. Start a thread by posting a complaint

  2. Let well meaning people post replies

  3. Accuse them of saynig that you're lying

At that point I wanted to post this, (but held back)...

As I often tell my 17 year old grandson, "I can't help you if you don't let me"...

Ok - we'll take Red off the list of people to go up and take the award. Looks like it's gonna be down to BH again ...
