Do you have an issue with me telling it straight? All year has been about "fixing" something they sold as immense and exciting. They played us and we' re still waiting on the console front full stop. I'll keep telling it straight until they start talking straight. No you're not. You're the one running your keyboard son, it's not like it just developed a mind of it's own and you're sitting there all embarrassed going 'wow Mr Logitech, that was really rude of you!'
They're entitled to take a break - if it really bothers you so much, why not do the same.
Funny, I do other things than just play Elite like I used to almost exclusively. That doesn't detract from me acknowledging the issues with the game and it's development when coupled with what sometimes seems to be an arrogant company that continually messes up the game for people who time and again have to just suck it up and wait for fixes - some of which takes many months and beyond, if ever. I've been sucking it up myself for years, whilst supporting the continued development of our beloved game through the purchase of many cosmetics. But I do take breaks. Still, this doesn't change the fact I just want the game to be treated with the respect it deserves from the very company working on it.I'm continually amazed to learn that people are unaware that there are other things to do than play computer games, or even if that's all they want to do, there are more than one out there.
I'm personally a bit cheesed that the radar bug hasn't been sorted out, I was really starting to get back into combat again and need to snag combat bonds in CZs to unlock the last couple of engineers and can't really do it with that thing lurking, but instead I'll mess around with my PS4, watch some of the plethora of good stuff coming out on the telly (Witcher! Book of Boba Fett! Cobra Kai! Matrix 4! The footba... well probably not that one, the way things are going...) spend some time with the family, ride my bike, walk the pup...
I hear what you're saying.Do you have an issue with me telling it straight? All year has been about "fixing" something they sold as immense and exciting. They played us and we' re still waiting on the console front full stop. I'll keep telling it straight until they start talking straight.

Thanks, for all of you efforts and hard work.Greetings Commanders,
Thanks to all your feedback and comments, our developers worked hard to bring you new updates to Odyssey and Horizons on Thursday which resolved a number of critical issues such as multi limpets being too heavy and resolving an issue where biological scanning was not working as intended.
With just a few days left until the Holiday season the updates this week will be the last updates of 2021.
We are aware that there are still some outstanding issues following the recent updates:
Ongoing issues around fire groups
Other known issues
- Empty fire groups surrounded by populated fire groups do not automatically clear
- Some Commanders are still unable to edit fire groups that do not contain a weapon in Horizons
- Other firegroups issues - we are investigating a number of reports - please continue to use issue tracker to let us know which issues are affecting you.
We want you to know that our developers are aware of these issues, and the others that have been reported via our Issue Tracker. We will be looking to provide fixes to these for Update 10 which will be available in January 2022.
- Commanders are unable to use the Profile Analyser to clone the profile of a deceased NPCs
- Hostile ships can appear incorrectly (as non hostile) on the radar
Thank you all for your support and feedback this year. We look forward to bringing you more in the new year!
The problem isn't "telling it straight" (though "sounding off nasty" is not what I would call "telling it straight", it's just being nasty), the problem is NOT telling it straight... in this case, in reference to the "apology".Do you have an issue with me telling it straight? Will FD publish an issue report like this one from 16.11 in December?
I do wonder when these sorts of things slip through if the checkers are too familiar with the new item so don’t realise that something isn’t obvious to people encountering it from cold. There has been many oversights especially in the UI design since Odyssey unfortunately. All we can do is point them out and hope they get fixed, it's sad that they missed a lot of simple things like that though. The checking to see if the 'T's had been crossed and the 'I's dotted has been sadly missing.
Yeah, I totally get that.I do wonder when these sorts of things slip through if the checkers are too familiar with the new item so don’t realise that something isn’t obvious to people encountering it from cold.
That's the very sound you just made. Merry Choo choo.I hear what you're saying.
It sounds like mewmewmewmew.
Merry Christmas.

As of a few updates ago (7? 8?), you are supposed to see a few such long-range missions. That is, most will be within 20ly, but the occasional one could be significantly further (including 22kly, iirc). It's been a while since the patch, but I'm still occasionally seeing 200+ LY missions on the mission board. What gives?
I've only ever seen these missions around a patch day, but never after that. I've been playing plenty during Update 7 and 8 and I have never seen these missions during that time. Just now there were 5 combat missions for a faction I have been supporting for a while and 4 of those were 200+ LY away.As of a few updates ago (7? 8?), you are supposed to see a few such long-range missions. Yeah it definitely started with update 9. I don't get why people think this is okay. I went to 2 different systems I am allied with all the listed federation factions, and yet they want me to travel 100LY to 200LY to a system far away for a takedown contract. I rather they kept it the old way and just not show them since the pay does not match the distance.I've only ever seen these missions around a patch day, but never after that.
