Could this also be the page file on the HD?
I'm not too computery but seem to remember something about a page file and it might be the precursor to a failing drive if so.

It could be a lot of things- Win 10 and 11 have had lots of updates recently and it could also be spanked drivers.

Windows 10, if you run it has a built in memory tester. Search Windows Memory Diagnostic. It’s a good starting point.

Im no expert, but if it's a memory issue you could up the size of the pagefile - mine was small on an install and increasing it stopped crashes etc on cities skylines. That's ram heavy though so I might not be related.

Do it anyway then blame Athlon.

The only way to reset one of those was by removing the top cover, then pressing the (well-hidden) reset button, then rebuilding it again...

Comparison:
Reset PC 0.05 seconds
Reset iMac 8 minutes 42 seconds (if you're good at it!)

this Samsung is so quiet when working that i have to touch it to tell if it's even on. it's crazy coming from our apartment dishwasher

Friend of mine jury-rigged his to work without the cover - just put a tarp over it instead for that very reason lol
