100% of sweet fa is still sweet fa.
1+1 is 2. Not 20, not 200, not 2000. << Numbers, not opinion.
Opinion >> If a PvE player is that starved for player-player content, then they're not really PvE players. They're just making the claim so they can continue to pour salt on the forums about griefganksealclubpsychos continuously and unashamedly ruining their game, whilst they simultaneously and unabashedly avoid playing at least 50% of that very same game by clicking PG/Solo to avoid utiliising all the myriad of in-game mechanics & features - Shipyard, Outfitter, Engineers, Tech Brokers - to build a viable hauling/mining ship while transporting a Billion credits of Void Opals around the galaxy.
This game doesn't need an OpenPvE mode, it needs shieldless/sub-optimally shielded cargo carrying ships to be 'tagged & cursed' with a 100% chance of spawning OP NPC pirates at every instance change.
Just my opinion about the salt pouring; I've pointed this odd fact out before. PvE players don't pour salt on the forum about anyone ruining their game, even though that's a popular trope. The great majority* of these threads get started by PvP players, wanting to attract more players into Open or proposing penatlies for not playing in Open. Once they get going, they usually end up with "Open-PvE mode would solve all this", but they can reset to the start to avoid this conclusion at any point. Once the PvE players have had their say, the PvP players kick it all off again to avoid the hated conclusion - that's the reason for the length of these threads.
* I said "the great majority" although actually I think it's "all". Certainly that's been the case for the last few months.
And yes, "insanity is posting the same thing again and again, and expecting a different result".
I offer the solution: everyone should play in whatever mode they feel like at each game session, and not moan about other players' choices.
Lastly... mods, where are you? How about recognising these threads as unhealthy for the game and the forum, repetitive and pointless, and as a matter of policy closing them as soon as they appear? Please?
