To Solo Play Players: If You Could Disable PVP, Would You Play in Open Play Mode Instead?

My sig, and my early PvP/PvE posts are pretty clear about my feelings on shieldless cargo haulers and the unecesary salt floods on this forum, this thread being a prime example, that they cause.
Like players who shoot at other players, players who choose to fly shieldless are also playing the game by the rules - even if that causes dissatisfaction for some players.

100% of sweet fa is still sweet fa.

1+1 is 2. Not 20, not 200, not 2000. << Numbers, not opinion.

Opinion >> If a PvE player is that starved for player-player content, then they're not really PvE players. They're just making the claim so they can continue to pour salt on the forums about griefganksealclubpsychos continuously and unashamedly ruining their game, whilst they simultaneously and unabashedly avoid playing at least 50% of that very same game by clicking PG/Solo to avoid utiliising all the myriad of in-game mechanics & features - Shipyard, Outfitter, Engineers, Tech Brokers - to build a viable hauling/mining ship while transporting a Billion credits of Void Opals around the galaxy.

This game doesn't need an OpenPvE mode, it needs shieldless/sub-optimally shielded cargo carrying ships to be 'tagged & cursed' with a 100% chance of spawning OP NPC pirates at every instance change.
Some of like to play Eurotruck sim in space ;)

@Northpin
that's actually a "spellig" error and was done specifically to make you laugh.

Still doesn't answer nor justifies the need to go through that form to enjoy an unrestricted coop mode with total and random strangers

Imagine, just for a second, that PVP was permitted only in a PG while the open mode would be a full coop / pve mode and you are asking for a Open PVP mode 🙃

I'm all for equal and non-discriminatory chances for the entire player base.
If there is an Open PVP then an Open PVE should also exist.

IMO that would lead to a more seamless experience between peers (and like minded players) - no more clogging, no more interdicting someone that has no desire to fight another player, no more ganking or seal clubbing 🤷‍♂️

Edit: and no more broken instances due to blocking abusage...

If you're flying an engineered Cutter, it's not possible for you to be ganked.... even if you're not left alone and are being interdicted every other mintue, that's not a gank or an attempted gank. That's just you playing the game and utilising all the features/mechanics on offer to prepare one of the best rated combat ships in the game for the job you need it to do.
Interdictions and follow up routine DO irritate me, even if chances of actually getting blown up are slim :D Ok most of gankers leave me be, as they know that actually seeing nice explosion is not that likely.

Shieldless ships do not cause me dissatisfaction, quite the opposite in fact... they do cause dissatisfaction for their own pilots however, which leads to the aforementions forum salt and the thousands of posts like this one claiming that "PvP is OP needs nerf" and the like.
Why the proposal to have them chased down by OP NPCs then? Unless it was from a desire to "teach them a lesson"....

Simple change, interdicting clean ship always marks you as culprit. What ever happens after that is your doings. It is already finable offence. And well actually hitting somebody with ram takes a lot more skill than hitting them with weapons.
So change everything so it might as well be no PvP at all.

No thanks, solo players can stay in solo if that's the sort of changes you need. Don't mess up my game.

Just my opinion about the salt pouring; I've pointed this odd fact out before. PvE players don't pour salt on the forum about anyone ruining their game, even though that's a popular trope. The great majority* of these threads get started by PvP players, wanting to attract more players into Open or proposing penatlies for not playing in Open. Once they get going, they usually end up with "Open-PvE mode would solve all this", but they can reset to the start to avoid this conclusion at any point. Once the PvE players have had their say, the PvP players kick it all off again to avoid the hated conclusion - that's the reason for the length of these threads.

* I said "the great majority" although actually I think it's "all". Certainly that's been the case for the last few months.

And yes, "insanity is posting the same thing again and again, and expecting a different result".

I offer the solution: everyone should play in whatever mode they feel like at each game session, and not moan about other players' choices.

Lastly... mods, where are you? How about recognising these threads as unhealthy for the game and the forum, repetitive and pointless, and as a matter of policy closing them as soon as they appear? Please?

It really is because every time I've tried playing in open I've been ganked , that's EVERY SINGLE TIME ..... 20 hours of open play and I've been ganked 12 times ........
Have to say the only time I have been are at Dav's Hope and one engineer (can't remember which, wasn't Farseer, although I've had players attempt it a couple of times there - just go to solo for engineers nowadays). Most of the time I just don't see anyone (and not just when I've gone for a bit of an explore).

So change everything so it might as well be no PvP at all.

No thanks, solo players can stay in solo if that's the sort of chargnges you need. Don't mess up my game.
Everything? You rudely pull somebody out of supercruise without any consent? And that is not a crime, then you go and try to find loophole with end result being effectively same as shooting the other player. It is like irl murderer wannabe telling that you cannot murder somebody by driving over them with a car, you'll need to shoot or stab them :D
