DLC Ideas that could cover the future of Planet Zoo and theoretical possibilities depending on how long Planet Zoo will continue

Here are some DLC concepts I have made, I have not made an Aviary Pack concept, but I have done concepts for 7 more potential DLCs that flesh out a few regions and revisits a few diverse locations to add a few more interesting and popular animals, these are in chronological order if Planet Zoo decides to continue through 2022 and 2023, I really hope so, the possibilities are endless for this game.

I love your ideas and the designs are also really cool! It also looks like the pack covers a lot of the most wanted animals.

I'd be happy with any of those except your snake choices as I've only mostly conquered my fear of snakes (even held a python which was A Very Big Deal) and the mamba and cobra families are not on the list I can think about without having to suppress feelings of absolute terror!

There's so many species still missing from Planet Zoo 😔 The anxiety is real 👏

And with only 4 (theorized) packs remaining. Everyone is desperately trying to fit as many animals into four packs lol

I keep seeing a tropical pack and temperate pack idea. I think a temperate pack is SO LAZY. Temperate just means mild. So....the entire world except deserts and tropics. That's so vague. And the tropical packs are full of desert species from Australia, they seem like desperate shots to fit in as many animals as possible.

"This is my four legged animal pack" Followed up by my "vetebrate animal pack...only animals with backbones"

I love the designs!

A couple of changes I would make:
2 additional black bears? I'd replace the sloth bear with the wolverine in the Greater Asia pack, and leave the spectacled bear in the SA pack.
I'd replace the crane with the red deer, because I never use the birds in PZ and still want my iconic red deer.
Endangered species could easily be an animal pack, and I'd add the saiga, black headed spider monkey, Persian onager, and as charismatic as the Sumatran tiger is... a 3rd tiger subspecies really doesn't sit well with me. I'd replace it with the Andean mountain cat.
Rainforest pack: replace fishing cat with red river hog, as we already have a Southeast Asian small spotted cat with the clouded leopard. Keep the squirrel monkey, ditch the false gharial. The sloth is great, I love them, but I don't know how they would realistically work in the game, so I'd replace them with Goodfellow's tree kangaroo.
SA: I'd only change the seriema bird to the Patagonian mara.
Oceania: Add Bennett's wallaby because the tree kangaroo went to the rainforest pack. Replace the echidna with the eastern grey kangaroo. More marsupials is never a bad deal. I'd keep the yellow footed rock wallaby. But I'm torn on whether to keep the platypus or replace it with the kiwi. The platypus is charismatic, yes, but also notoriously difficult to keep in captivity, almost no facility can do it successfully and keep them alive for long. And New Zealand could really do with some representation. So I'll decide in favor of the kiwi.
Africa: Add the addax because the red river hog is in the rainforest pack.
Primates: Replace Geoffroy's spider monkey with a grey langur, because there's already a spider monkey in the endangered species pack.

Great pack ideas, I'd buy them all but essentially:

Capybara? Check.
Wombat? Check
scond Otter? Check - is even my preferred species!

We got these three, I'm good. Of course I want more but these are the big three for me.

With these ideas I used the Meta Wishlist as a template, taking many species I am on the list, most that were above 100, many of the others I tried to appeal to biodiversity, making zoos with a variety of species that can fit into different sorts of exhibits, for example you can fit the Sloth Bear and Gaur, as iconic Indian animals, into an Indian section of your zoo, maybe the King Cobra too.

Many other animals can flesh out different aspects of the environment, with the Rainforest Animal Pack alternative idea, I wanted to cover life in the canopy, life on the forest floor, and life in the forest rivers, small clawed otters and false gharials are iconic animals of Southeast Asia's rivers, so I see them as animals that are vital to an exhibit that appeals to different aspects of a Rainforest.

With the Oceania Animal Pack, I tried to include many key Australian species that were missed in the Australia Pack, as well as a representative from Papua New Guinea in the Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo and the North Island Brown Kiwi from New Zealand.

The South America Animal Pack is one that I wanted to do for a while and I think it is one of my favourites out of the ideas, the animals included are animals that can be used a wide variety of different exhibits based around South America, the Capybara and Green Anaconda can fit into some nice Amazon River exhibits along with the tapir, jaguar and river otter, as well as Cerrado exhibits with the Maned Wolf, Red Legged Seriema (my most creative choice in the pack) and Capybara. As well as another iconic Andean species in the Andean/Spectacled Bear. The Coati, Lion Tamarin and Ocelot would fit into any rainforest exhibit.

My favourite of these is the Africa Animal Pack as I have included many interesting African animals, nonetheless popular species, but is primarily because in the top row has 4 animals from Deadly 60, giving me a slight touch of nostalgia, if you have seen that show. But overall the Africa Animal Pack expands on more different species than similar animals which the primary reason I did not choose an antelope, because we have a good amount of Africa's antelope species.

The Greater Asia Animal Pack is the likeliest pack that is next for me, and if it were to cover most of the animals I have put together I would be happy.

The Primate Pack is a speculation if Frontier wants to continue Planet Zoo after 2022 because this game has many ideas available to it, expanding the climbing system, giving primates qualities that make them interesting and unique from other animals, giving them the ability to swing, jump from tree to tree and move along the ground in unique ways. This is a pack that I think Planet Zoo needs, because I think the primate roster of Planet Zoo needs a bit of expanding and this is the perfect pack to do so in one collective pack with primates from around the world.

The Endangered Species Pack or Animal Pack is a pack that can appeal to conservation, adding many animals affected by the actions our society has inflicted on the natural world. I have chosen 4 critically endangered animals and 1 that is extinct in the wild. An animal pack would fit better, but this is a pack where Frontier could get creative with false animal traps and cages as educational items, being able to spread awareness which could be a new factor in making a five star zoo. I chose the Sumatran Tiger because it is an endangered tiger on the brink and tiger that fits more with the Southeast Asian theme, and is the second most exhibited tiger in zoos after the Siberian Tiger. Cotton Top Tamarin as another miniature monkey from Colombia which is threatened by human expansion into its environment creating islands of rainforest in a sea of agriculture. The Eastern Black Rhinoceros was Africa's most widespread rhinoceros once upon a time, but now they are its rarest. However reintroduction efforts and widespread breeding programs worldwide which have led to its increase in population. The Chinese Giant Salamander is one of the world's largest amphibians and would be a unique animal for the exhibit roster being bigger than most of the animals, it would probably require a bigger exhibit system with different sizes being able to fit it, threatened by habitat loss, water pollution and over exploitation in its native range along the Yangtze River, as it is considered a delicacy in China and is also used for traditional medicines. The Scimitar Horned Oryx would be the first and possibly only animal that would give a use to that Extinct in the Wild symbol in the Zoopedia, it was overhunted and driven to extinction in the wild, but with an expansive population in captivity on ranches and in zoos and safari parks, recently reintroduction efforts began in Chad, so this animals future is possibly getting brighter.

Just a bit of expanded insight into the packs

Two cats in one pack?
Could say the same about two roos in one pack..

I'd swap a roo for Echidna. No idea why stick insect is chosen, I would rather the frill neck.

I don't know how many other Aussies are in this forum, but I'm pretty passionate that we get the right animals that also appear in our zoos here as opposed to zoos in other countries since Australian zoos can't exactly invest in overseas animals as easily as native.

So something like this would definitely fill the niche here.

Lord Howe Stick Insect is in game files. Reggie had to put it somewhere.
If Lord Howe Island Stick Insect wasn't found in the files, Frilled Neck Lizard would still be in its place
I do have it as the exhibit animal for the Islands Animal Pack, so I might swap those two around

Frilled Neck Lizard is now the exhibit animal for Oceania, and Lord Howe Stick Insect will be the exhibit for Islands, and I have added Lyrebird as a possible alternative, as well as made Echidna a main animal for Oceania because kiwi is now Islands

Also I swapped the spots of the Hamadryas Baboon and the Gelada, I thought it best to have the Gelada as a wishful alternative, because more people want the Hamadryas over the Gelada

Also have alternated Spectacled Bear for Black Howler and moved it into the Mara's in South America
1641435306078.png

Also alternated Radiated Tortoise for Kiwi in the Islands

Changed these next two up as well
