How would you know? Have you worked there?
Well, the alternative is that some people knew but for some reason their voices were ignored. Which is even sadder when you think about it.How would you know? Have you worked there?

I am .... SQ42 is what I have been waiting for, cant wait to see that Cinematic MoCap in action, after 9 years of work the beta is gonna be amazing!!It's SQ42 beta release day! Is everyone excited?
What does he mean when? SC is OnlyFans with ship-pawn, they just pay to be teased with pictures - exactly what happens with OF.

I think what's needed to re-energise everything is a live stream of the glorious leader playing his own game.I fear, what with 'planning week' coming up, that CIG won’t do anything stupid for months to come…
Has a Chairmen’s Letter ever been more vital?

That's not been tried before has it?.........
Quick, someone send Sandy over with some very important paperwork to smirk at and sign...Denis!!! Its borked!
How would you know? Have you worked there?
Its in his username, he's CIG's watch. They keep him in the office on the wall![]()

Dunno about you guys, but I can hack CIG's internal camera system. Here's a pic I took of CIGWatch being inside CIG's officesHow would you know either?![]()
40 minutes. I've got new year food to cook, a contract to read, and work to do... can you give a summary?
Yeah, honestly I use slightly more compact equipment nowadays. But this is exactly what it looked like when the Kickstarter ended. Years are passing by like pods of whales through the ocean.Dunno about you guys, but I can hack CIG's internal camera system. Here's a pic I took of CIGWatch being inside CIG's offices

No, I just watched the first minute and it was amazing.40 minutes. I've got new year food to cook, a contract to read, and work to do... can you give a summary?
No, I just watched the first minute and it was amazing.
The first minute was hilarious, but that was enough. One of the first thing Kate says is "rubber racoons" but turns out it's rebel, disappointing.Ah, fair enough. I thought there was something specific you wanted to note from it.
I skipped through it. Got CoD in space (well, mainly on planet) vibes.
I just play the game I don't pay attention to any road maps that way I'm never disappointed.
Another thing is, i don't think any of them want to think about what it means long term for actual delivery of a releasable product.
At this rate they will never get 10 systems, never mind 100+
Not much hope left for SC
Not sure where it's going?! Or when that will be completed, and if it can be achieved...
I bought in this game years back in 2014. I was picturing initially massive battles with thousands of players each busy managing ship functions. I remember CR saying sky was the limit on the number of players in a same instance once the multiple holy grail techs would be completed.
Now, not sure what we are getting. It seems they saying it will be limited forever to 100 player in the same instance or something. It feels it wouldn't even enough for two clans that bought $1k+ fleets to have all their ships battling while fully manned.
And just the endless push back of features. Classic example is the salvage feature. Announced and pushed back for the last 4 years! And absolutely no demos playable or videos (may have missed it, mb), nothing to show for it, not even a bad or buggy mechanic. Just seems from my external pov like bad planning or zero vision or idea how to achieve it...
I would love an honest letter from the chairman, explaining what will be in the final game per the tech limitations, and when it will be completed based on his internal and high level perspective.
..and you stated that the Idris and Javelin would come out after SQ42 (the impossible myth)
I'd say that the best thing that can happen to this project at this point is a soft launch (and I'm being extremely optimistic here), so why don't you just publish those ships that are basically almost flight ready?
"Oh, but we only have 50 client capped servers and the Javelin is made for 80 players"- nobody cares about their maximum crew capacity nor efficiency at this time, everybody in the right mind wants to fly the ships they've paid for.
Also, before you white knights (my dear sweet summer children) start it with the picard palm -
NO, I do not own a Javelin nor an Idris, but I own an Endeavor.
Speaking of which, I know you stated that the Endeavor would get published after the game went officially LIVE, but let's face it: once again the best that can happen to this thing you call game development is a sloooooow soft launch.
"Oh, but you know there's no science gameplay, what's the rush? You can't do anything with that ship even if it were delivered tomorrow" - sure and that should count for exploration, data running, salvage, refueling, etc- but those have been published, haven't they?
Plus the Endeavor counts as exploration too- so do it.
And let me remind you that according to your roadmap: modularity is around the corner and ship to station docking is already there- so do it.
I've also noticed that the Odyssey looks very similar, I'd be disappointed if you were to publish the Odyssey before the Endeavor.
Think about it dear developers, what do you got to lose? It's always win win for you anyway $$$, right?
Now please, the picard palm
