State of the Game

Buffy TVS
House
Red Dwarf

Name a show that's lasted 7 seasons and you'll see the same arc. It's best just to quit watching after season 5 or 6, because it's all downhill from there
And I believe this is part of the explanation Graham Linehan has cited as to why he has stopped many successful series. And of course there's Fawlty Towers.

And earlier series were no better than the later ones.

I have noticed, especially with this latest season, a relative lack of care/detail in the depiction of things like reduced gravity and ship acceleration. The pursuit and boarding of the Free Navy observation ship, the pursuit and railgun flips in the skirmish between the Rocinante and the Pella, and initial landing of troops on Ceres are what standout most for me. It's more glossed over than it was in the earlier seasons.

While on the whole, they have been quite good with realism in regards to acceleration/gravity all that good stuff they have played fast and loose with the length of time it takes to get from A to B. Even with the Epstein drive it still takes weeks/months to cross the system back and forth.

A good example I found last night reading book one is the....

Nuking of the Canterbury took place over a couple of hours but in the show it was done and dusted in a matter of minutes.
