What features will be added between this beta and 1.0?

Its the big question!
Although we won't be getting the full universe, or the full Milky Way. Frontier have already said that they will save bits of it for future injected events (i.e. Aliens!)

Well, hopefully offline mode. If the servers are based in England, my internet won't be able to handle it very well so I definitely need offline mode to be available at launch

well , not one can really answer that beside Frontier i'd say. just hope that their goals will be to make the game more smoother, and let their entire ideas flows into procedural generations. It sad that the ability to visit a planet wont make out at release, cuz it feels like the game isnt complete. but since its a digital thing, they can upgrade it thereafter , hopefully itll be free...

id like to see Elite Dangerous with not very much limitations as in explorations... planet visit is a whole big thing to do , but it will makes the galaxy alive by seeing cities, excavations, facilities, civilisations , and such things.

Major updates (like planetary landings) will be sold as expansions. This has always been the plan since they first presented the game during their Kickstarter.

If you would look closer into other topics, you would realize there are hundreds of pages of people arguing about if there will be any new features (not ships or stations) at all :)

I think this game has a fantastic community. I can't wait to shoot you all on board your own ship after an expansion! :D

I really hope this is the case.
It would be really fun to Hyperspace into a system where there is an advance civilization (hostile or friendly) or artifacts that are from a long ago dead civilization.
I would also like to see things where maybe you catch sight of an alien ship or life form (make it very rare) while SC'ing in a system (like 'unknown object detected') that you can investigate with your scanner and maybe even get major credits or a badge or something for 'first contact'
The sandbox style of this game has so much possibilities..
