Selling data on FC

Does anyone knows about issues on selling maps on a Carrier? At FCs release I failed a very rare system, I don't want to step into that shoe again.

There are none as far as I am aware, I always sell on my own fleet carrier though, you just lose a bit of money compared to selling on regular stations.

Don't think that 25% are "a bit" :D And that's without any extra fees set by the carrier's owner...
I think Universal Catrographics shouldn't take 25% on your own carrier. I mean you are already paying for the carrier and services...

Only half of that if it is on your own carrier, the other half is added to your carrier account.

When delivering UC data to a carrier 12.5% evaporates and the other 12.5% goes to the FC owner

And nope; you can not raise the tarif on a UC. That slider you can set is on services like repair/refuel

Thanks for the info.
Hadn't looked up my carrier for a while ;)

nevertheless. 12.5% is still to much, should be free of charge for the owner. I mean, trying to get Elite in Exploring would mean, that you have to sell date for additional 150.000.000 Credits

They don't, UC only ever takes 12.5%. 12.5% goes to the Fleet Carrier owner, so if you sell on a fleet carrier not yours you pay 25%, 12.5% to UC and 12.5% to the owner, if you sell on your own carrier UC get's 12.5% and your carrier gets 12.5%, so effectively you only pay 12.5%. Also the carrier owner can't set fees on UC data, that's fixed and can't be changed.

Already answered I see, I should have read more of the thread before replying lol.

Nah. 150mil is just a couple of good nights exploration.

Before the Odyssey mapping buff, even veteran explorers generally did 10-15 million Cr per hour while actively exploring. Counting total playtime, it was considerably less: see here.
So let's say that 150 million Cr is around 10-15 hours. That's a couple of good nights of exploration, yes, if you play 5-7.5 hours per night.
I think it's safe to say that the majority of explorers don't do all this.

Even stretched out over longer periods though, that's still a significant time cost.

While I'm here, does anyone else have to back out of the UC window to sell another page of data? I've noticed since the past few updates that I'll have say, 5 pages of UC data. On selling the first page, it will say "1/5" at the bottom and it will sell but then say I have no data. I back out and click the UC button again and I'm told "1/4," then sell and am told I have no data again, only to go through the same process to be told 1/3 then none, 1/2 then none, then one and then done.

Surely that's a bug, yeah?

No, I just use the option at the bottom of the page to load the previous page and it pops up immediately.

It's similar for me.
I go to my carriers UC, it takes a while loading the data, almost always bugging out (transaction failed, iirc), going back to the main UC interface page. When I then immediatly go back to UC, the first page of data is instantly available and I can sell it. I am then at an empty UC page, but at the bottom I can trigger to load the next page (?? symbol, iirc). It then will bug out again, rinse and repeat.

I use the trigger to load the next page, but it never bugs out on me. Are you using your FC or someone else's? I always sell on my own FC.
