General / Off-Topic [HUMOUR] (un)scientific analysis of forum behaviour

According to someone, who shall remain nameless, it 'all kicked off yesterday in the forums'. The general consensus of opinion among those of us who were discussing this kicking off was that most of the naysayers and complainers were from a particular demographic (look it up)...

To explain, I have done a pair of pretty little charts to illustrate this...

View attachment 1087

The charts demonstrate that the level at which a forum user pledged or the point at which the forum user joined the game has a direct correlation (look it up) with the number of complaining/whining/moaning (pick a similar word of your own choosing) posts that person is likely to make on a daily basis!

As we can see, those who joined most recently or those who pledged the least and who have therefore not put themselves in the poorhouse, sold the kids or removed the wife's spending privileges in order to fund the game have been prone to complaining/whining/moaning (etc... you get the idea) far more than those who HAVE put themselves in the poorhouse, sold the kids, removed the wife's spending privileges, removed a limb or two, sold a kidney or their bodies in order to fund the game.

Odd that, don't you think? Especially when the people who have put themselves in the poorhouse, sold the kids, removed the wife's spending privileges, removed a limb or two, sold a kidney or their bodies in order to fund the game clearly care that much more and have invested much more of their time and their selves and their livelihoods and their personal safety (see 'removed the wife's spending privileges')...

Well done for using the Elite theme colours for your graphs. Little details like that make all the difference!

So, if I read your graphs correctly.
The more you whinge the less committed you are/were?

Salute folks!

Thank you MikeSnos for a great laugh! rep +! I don't know how your thread will go after this, but I wish you the best! You do realize there are at least 2 sharks waiting, circling and nibbling at the legs of all players here? (puts on tinfoil hat) SC fansharks, willing to take off your legs, puttin down the ED play like it wouldn't compare. Then there is the External Vehomoth Evermore unmentionable (which ate me up for years) sharks. BOTH sharks are circling just out of reach trying to take us off at the knees and finish us off..... *Your graph shows this perfectly!

SALUTE! and cya in the stars!

Yeah but the font isn't right :D

When we were kids we used to get up 2 hrs before going to bed and eat a handful of cold gravel.

A bed, gravel... Luxury! When I was a kid we had no beds, living in a room so crowded we had to sleep balancing on one leg, and had to lick the paint off the ceiling for breakfast, if we were lucky! ;)
