Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Most games just release. They don't make promises and let fans dream over a decade only to troll them by not implementing most of the things they promised.
But you are talking around my question. Can you tell me about a game that has met the Fanbases' dreams?
Since really, it's a stupid headline to write since it's not happened with any game, lol.

Does any game ever live up to the fanbases' dreams?

Most often than not no, it does not. But not every game has been funded with backer money to the tune of 450+ millions over 10+ years before it is even known if it does in fact live up or not.

SC is very different, for the worst, than most every other game including that key and core regard.

Finally! An answer at last. In conclusion: It's a stupid headline

My little pleasure

"There are a lot of things that certainly sound bad to me, like the part where the game allows players to heal people to death in areas that are supposed to be safe from PvP, but maybe that sounds fun to you."
Because ALPHAAAA !

How very professional to talk about a short live bug already fixed in the current version of SC as if it were a feature of the current game. Someone wanted here journalists to do reviews of SC even though it is in alpha. Well you have one here who, despite only talking about one (and only one in the whole article) mechanism of SC, has absolutely no idea how it works in the current version of SC. As if he hasn't tested the actual alpha... ho wait...

That's why real journalists don't do alpha reviews, because they are useless and obsolete by the next patch.

Well is it released game or alpha? Try to refund and you find it is a released game. Try to review and its is ALPHA....

You do know what an editorial is, correct?

Would you say that gamestar.de is more objective in their reporting on Star Citizen?

Not really, if anything the headline and article text were quite soft. Not living up to fan dreams is not a binary yes/no discussion where you can lumpsum all games equally. It has grades.

SC´s case is much worst than most every other game. To be clearer the article could have stressed how how much more poor than most any other games SC will be when compared to its dream, but the fact the article was made for SC at all, and not for other games, should have given you a hint.
