Color variations for HUD Colors in the ark store, like engine and thruster colors.

I mean, its more money for a simple set of color changes, and its not like it hurts any players so why not? Only really complaint would be it not being free but maybe make it fairly cheap that you could earn out of the weekly cap thing. maybe like less than 1K? Anyhow price and stuff is for game devs to decide but it would be nice for horizons and odyssey. sadly i play on ps4 and cant just mod the game to change it.

But apparantly implementing it is not a simple set of colour changes according to FDEV. I tend to believe them because if it was a simple fix it would have been done, this feature has been requested for long enough. But I don't support paying for it, it should be available free because there are players with vision issues that have problems with the current colour setup and I wouldn't feel it right making them pay for vision impairment adjustments.

I Agree with it should be free, but devs are more likely to work on something if it makes the company money. so, thats why i said in the ark store.

It's irrelevant, the HUD colour issue isn't just a matter of changing a few colours, so whether you pay them or not doesn't matter, and apart from the you are still advocating that people with disabilities should pay extra for something to correct their vision impairment problem and that's not right regardless of the issues involved!

as someone with glasses forgive me if im not sympathetic to this plight

I also wear glasses, but I am referring to people with various forms of colour blindness, I don't consider glasses alone as indicating a disability, in many cases it just indicates age, but I do know people whi play the game who have trouble due to the colours and being able to change colours would make life much easier for them.

I really would like a green hud but the mods are so janky and broke my game. So would be nice if fdev gave some official support for hud colour changes... even if its just a sticky on the forums

Agree there should be official support, but being charged for it would be wrong.

I have both and have to say being unable to do even simple tasks without my glasses is far more debilitating than color blindness.

Color blindness is a mild inconvenience and makes some things a bit harder, particularly in games but that's about it.

While I hesitate to criticise a player who does suffer from colourblindness in regards to the HUD colours, obviously not everyone has the same experience and there are various different forms of colour blindness that may cause more issues than others.

My point was to you not considering being legally blind w/o glasses not to be a disability but colorblindness to be one.

All the links you posted explained mild inconvenience or frustrating elements nothing more.

Even going so far with one as to say they didn't even notice something was a problem until it was pointed out.

Thats why i suggested it being low enough that like a week of playing earns enough ark. If they are already playing, Play for a week, and then buy it. Again, I agree it SHOULD be free.

Probably wasnt easy in Horizons.
However i would expect that Odyssey client to allow this. But in a future patch

Yes that's how institutional discrimination works, many people don't realise they are even being discriminatory until it's pointed out to them. Yes it's a problem for some players, dismissing it because it doesn't affect you is like dismissing wheelchair ramps because you don't need them.

Did you really say that? That's almost....bizarre. You can't dismiss an issue because the people the issue affects don't have the ability to see it's an issue, literally, they can't see what is affecting their game play and making it harder for them to play, therefore we can just ignore it? Make them pay extra to fix it? Those were just a few of many posts on the issue, just the first few I picked out

Again you were the one down playing a disability. Not me.

I simply pointed out how backwards your views on the severity of the individual disabilities. As someone who has both I can tell you which one I would cure if given the choice.

You're just upset that you said something dumb, got called out and are trying to double down.

And to further my point. Those wheelchair ramps and wheel chairs aren't free either. Or do you also feel that's a lesser form of disability to color blindness?
