RG apologies, I had to edit. I thought I had the otter already but I miscounted. Switched out the moose in favor for that.
I missed that we can add five animals to our original list. Allow me to add these to mine:
  • Arabian leopard
  • South Island Takahe
  • Any sloth
  • Ocelot
  • Bennett's wallaby

Let's see....
  1. Leopard: One way or another the game needs a true leopard, but if I can choose one I would prefer African as they are pretty iconic zoo game animals, despite not being common in real zoos. Also if I am not mistaken, they are the most arboreal which means more unique requirements and maybe even new toys.
  2. Two-toed sloth: I don't mind whether it is Linnaeus's or Hoffman's. Three-toed sloths are very rare in captivity and if I'm not wrong very difficult to keep.
  3. Red river hog: Very unique and gorgeous looking suid. Also common in zoos.
  4. Fossa: The game needs a proper predator from Madagascar.
  5. Gelada: A rather popular zoo species as of late.
  6. Asian small-clawed otter: Cute, small and popular. Should be the second otter for the game.
  7. Spectacled bear: If we get another bear, this one would be my first choice.
  8. Bennett's or yellow-footed rock wallaby: A smaller alternative to the red kangaroo for building smaller areas. I don't mind either species.
  9. Scimitar-horned oryx: A very common zoo species despite being extinct in the wild. Also would go well with the new desert pieces we have.
  10. Dromedary: Another desert species for the new construction pieces.
  11. Black rhino: I think still essential, would also go well with the desert theme.
  12. Sumatran rhino: Would go well with the game's conservation theme. Also proven to be kept and bred successfully in captivity recently. And very unique looking.
  13. Collared peccary: We have a rig named after them, yet no peccary.
  14. Tasmanian devil: Such a unique and popular animal to not have.
  15. Bush dog: Cute and quite different to what we have now for canids.
  16. Emu: A must have Australian animal, also common in zoos.
  17. Quokka: Has taken the internet by the storm, also very unique for a zoo game.
  18. White-nosed coati: No zoo is complete without coatimundis!
  19. African civet: Another smallish predator that I think would be quite unique for the game.
  20. Pallas's cat: The game's lacking in the department of small cats.
The rest of my choices will be smaller monkeys, which I think the game lacks. Smaller primates pretty much dominate zoo collections.
  1. Mantled guereza
  2. De Brazza's monkey
  3. Diana monkey
  4. Geoffrey's spider monkey
  5. Emperor tamarin

What do you mean with Captivity? Specialized Breeding Centers or are some Zoos starting to keep them again?

Absolutely agree that we still need way more Primates. Also thanks for including a Species of Spider Monkey. Maybe this will make it more likely for them to be added

Seems like there's been a lot of recent support for bush dogs. I love bush dogs a ton, but every time I skim a list and see "dog" I get my hopes up for another raccoon dog supporter.

Since we approaching something like amazon pack, i think spider monkey will be the monkey species they will chose. It is very ,,frontier,, animal to do.

Something like South America 2 is possible. Perhaps call it Latin America including central America and non amazon animals from South America. But I think a greater Asia DLC could also be possible as it is the last continent as a whole without an own DLC. Of course we have the leak which suggests South America but we will see.

Talking about the monkeys. I would like to have both species in the game but I suspect frontier will do that. And I would Peter the Bowler monkey over the spider monkey and I think it is also the more likely choice.

Although I certainly wouldn’t mind a Amazon pack, I don’t think it’s a given from everything I’ve seen. Yes, there was a Cabybara in the game’s files, but there was also the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect native to Oceania (and both of the species appeared to be scrapped content at the time as they were found in files related to previous packs). Don’t get me wrong, I think Capybara is coming at some point for sure. It’s one of the most requested species by far. I’m just not totally sure we’ll see it in the next pack. Like others have mentioned, the next pack will likely have tie-ins with a more tropical theming, as Frontier appears to correlate all PZ’s dlc with seasonal themes. But just because there will be tropical elements doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing an Amazon pack or even a pack entirely focused on rainforest regions. For example, the Aquatic Pack, which dropped in December, only partly focused on a seasonal theming. The “headliner” for the pack was the King Penguin (by headliner I mean chosen for the primary advertisement images). The King Penguin provided a nod to the season’s winter theme, but pretty much the rest of the pack focused on more temperate or tropical elements. We might receive something like this in one or more of this year’s coming dlc. All the continents have received representation through dlc now, what comes next seems to be anyone’s guess.

I don’t think you can choose two leopards subspecies as they count as one on the list. I think you might consider correcting that.

Oh no I didn't mean it like that. What I meant was the success some zoos had in the 21st century, compared to the very few attempts to keep Javan rhinos more than a century ago. I think now all Sumatran rhinos are sent back to Indonesia.

Exactly, @joe28392 I'll only add one of the leopards (Persian) so one of your slots would be wasted unless you change it asap.

Nutrit, Planet Zoo had two brown bear subspecies from different continents, so why not leopards?

Species already in game are divided into subspecies in the meta wishlist. Species not in the game are summarized. At the early beginning of the meta wishlist the leopard was split but then we had 10 subspecies of leopard within the list which did not represent the place of the actual species.
