Stripes in planet textures

This has been happening since update 3. Its a major issue for me especially on slopes or rocky ice planets. The linked image is an example but it gets magnitudes worse than that. I put an issue report in but it expired. If anyone has an idea of how to fix this please tell. (I verified game files 3 times to no avail)

The long shadow shows that the sun is very low on the horizon.
This seems to be critical in some situations.
Is your example an exception, or do you often notice this?
Have you ever set shadows to ultra, is it better then?

This happens on all ice planets, about 60-70% of rocky/HMC and rocky ice planets. Settings do not fix this. I put all settings on ultra or ultra+ and no change. Its starting to make me very mad as this has been like this for months now.

I'll try to see if it happens to me too.

I also haven't seen it and I am going down to planets all the time, I will have a closer look over the next few sessions. What you are showing in your screenshot should be obvious so I would be surprised if It is happening to me.

Well this certainly doesn't seem to be a common problem, so I don't think it's lucky me, I think it's unlucky you, have you updated video drivers recently? This doesn't look like an artifact caused by shadows or shadow settings but it could be a driver issues or even a hardware issue, you aren't overclocking anything?

I still see those on occasion; they mostly go away if surface material quality is set to "medium".
