Why deny what you said? You did exactly what I said, so I don't understand where you are coming from - or have you gone back to your post to edit it out?

This really is one of the strangest conversations I've ever had, with someone denying they said what they said - I just don't understand where you get off on this??

ime on the rare occasions I report a post as off-topic or similar the mods do usually action it quite quickly, generally once a legitimate answer has been given to a question I figure anything nobody reports is fair enough. Most threads would be quite short and if there is banter that keeps it going I don't see a problem with that, it's only when the banter interferes with or obscures legitimately helpful responses (as the OP here describes) that it can become an issue.

TL;DR the Mods do an excellent job & if a post is of concern, report it & let them judge rather than responding & giving attention seekers what they are looking for.
