Just look at the place as a conglomeration of independent anarchy states... Everyone has to toe the party line, except there are thousands of parties...
Consideration must also be given to the presumption that playing a game is much more important than anything else, so things that make that game less than perfect are of paramount importance.

Otherwise, this place is no less hostile than a large metropolis in any 'civilised' country. ;)

Also, a lot of it is sarcasm but due to the way that text works, it doesn’t always come across properly…

And on occasion, that which isn't sarcasm gets interpreted as such (I have had that a few times in the past, usually as I've been lazy and badly worded something) by some.

There is a reasonable (or unreasonable, subject to interpretation) amount of sarcasm thrown around the forum, probably because there are some posters for whom a positive statement would be tantamount to self-betrayal...

Mostly though, it is pretty good-natured. (more so since the harrassment post brought behaviour to the fore)

Hear hear. Anything to do with console, more recently. Back to OP:

  • We can appreciate the waters feel pretty still right now but we are here - promise - we've just had quite an eventful few weeks so far getting the Galaxy aligned, ready for the year ahead.
  • For those with questions regarding the release of the latest, much anticipated FSD reward from that awesome result of a Community Goal, we'll have solid news on it very shortly, here in the Forums.
Neither of things have been fully addressed since this was posted, but then things do tend to move quite slowly around here. March is a busy month games-wise so I'd suggest the optimum timing of any news, would be the next 2 weeks. (no pressure!)
