Add Opinion Polls, Settlement Defense Plans, and Others to Mission Reward

Bedi Inn in Fullerenes C60. 6 HAB data ports. Or basically any similar settlement. On average you'll get at least one Opinion Poll per run. (as normal, due to RNG you might get a few dry runs, then get 3 at once).

Again, you guys really need to trust us on this. Once you're done, you're going to be cursing at how often you see opinion polls in place of other things you are looking for, and adding them to mission rewards will be even more annoying. Maybe their spawn rate does need increasing, but the more that increases, the less other stuff spawns and well... that becomes a problem when you're looking for digital designs or something.

SDPs are in a really bad place though. I've found 2 or 3 organically in months of playing.

No, you trust me. I wouldn't care if Opinion Polls were mission rewards even now I've done it. They were misery and remain misery. There are plenty of missions with rubbish rewards, another wouldn't hurt. Getting rid of ridiculous blockades like opinion polls, sdp, scp, financial projects would help.
You should trust "us" on this.

Well, maybe you wouldn't, but i personally would be annoyed at seeing all those things added as mission rewards.

Upping the spawn rates of some items from ports might be good for those in need. But once done, you no longer need those things.

Zac mentioned something to the effect or med/large, industrial/military with high security.

Maybe. Since i discovered don't actually need to unlock those engineers anyway I decided no need to actively look. The ones i got were from CMD data ports while i was just running around raiding bases after doing restore power missions.

That's quite a specific set of requirements though. Size, security, and specific base type. If its a large, then probably will have a large CMD building, so 2 data ports. Not sure what the % spawn chance of SDPs are on CMD data ports. It certainly feels like its well below 10%. Even if we assume its 10%, 15 SDPs required, so even repeatedly grinding out a base like that would require an average of.... 75 raids? Ooof.

At least with opinion polls, going to an optimal base (6 HAB ports), and with their spawn rate which seems around 1 in 6, its just 10 raids. (IIRC, it took me about 15, so maybe its closer to 10% chance on those as well, but i messed up some raids and had to exit early).

By the way, i've got 5 opinion polls i've just picked up by accident while doing stuff. Free to anyone who wants. Ideally you have to be online evening in-game time to meet up with me though.

Also willing to team up with some people to walk them through raiding Bedi Inn for them.

We will soon have carrier interiors....

And apparently with them will come bar tenders selling our precious on-foot engineering materials that we find in surplus

Yeah, that's nice... but will be able to sell data for trading or not is the question!!!

In the reveal trailer last year, they said the we can sell (trade?) materials using the bar tenders in the Carriers.
Sure, i will have to see it to actually believe it...

And i'm saying this because in Update 8 patch notes they said:

  • Odyssey Engineers: Added pin blueprint functionality
  • Bartender: Added a pin icon for resources needed for pinned blueprints.

And we're in U10 and we still dont have Pin Blueprint for EDO engineering and nobody is saying absolutely anything about it.
It's like a freaking conspiration. Bermuda Triangle of EDO features.

I'm gonna finish my breakfast and jump in the system and have a look around.

And when you say per run, what do you mean by that? Because relogging hasn't worked for like, 3 updates now I think. The items disspear from the entire base as soon as you log and they don't appear if you relog in a different mode. Or even log back to your old one. I've been flying to new settlements each time.

You don't relog at the base. You have to get in your ship and into orbit, then go back down.

Aaaah okay, is there an upper limit how far you gotta go? Like completely out of plantery orbit?

Also just realized it's thursday as my homestation has a g3 dom suit with combat speed upgrade, so before oppinion polls time to take some taxis around.

You need to enter orbit, yes, that is, above the OC line.

Nah
No need for full orbit.

Just jump in the ship, aim vertical up, boost, supercruise, then immediately exit supercruise, turn 180 and land (you'll be around 15-20 km above the settlement)

Aaah ok thanks for the info.

Right now I'm on my 4th apex taxi and already have a dom g3 with combat speed and a g2 plasma sniper w/ faster handling. Sucks to be stealing loot I may not use, but it, I want to test out some of these mods and see what they actually do before I commit to upgrades.

Most of it is fairly obvious. Any combination is useful as long as its something useful for the role of the suit/weapon. Not much point in putting quieter footsteps on a dominator unless you're going for some strange build.

I would say NV is useful for any suit. A silenced weapon for quiet takedowns. That's about it. You don't really need engineering for anything beyond that, although it can of course make your life easier.

I've done high CZs in a standard grade 3 dom with grade 2-3 weapons.

Oh I totally agree, if you're halfway decent at shooters the high cz's are doable with g1 everything. I just want to create a few builds, like have a sniper+quiet+mav wetwork suit, a rocket heavy weapons dominator with jumping, that sort of thing, I still mainly just use a laser rifle + kinetic pistol with scope for the optimal pew pew. But ya want some variety.

Pretty much what i'm going for, although i'm also having a shorter range setup with the Eclipse and C44 as well. Basically want to use all large weapon depending on my mood. Well, except the Oppressor, because its pants.
