I have 1000s of hours on my PS4 save, I have 700+ hours on my PC save.

Odyssey is very broken in VR. Update 9 created a flash for VR users, it was lessened with Update 10, however its still present.

I have spent the last 14 days with support, letting them give me the run around. Did you reinstall the Vive software? Did you check that?

Finally, I reseated all my hardware, reinstalled my OS and started completely fresh, issue is still present and support is STILL jerking me around.

I can't do this. I love this game and I have spent thousands of dollars on this experience. I have so many cosmetics, I bought the DLC three times for strangers on Steam forums.

I don't want to give up on this game, but very few self respecting people would let this continue. I am insulted at the busy work I've been given in this support ticket, instead of ANYONE just acknowledging there's an issue.

And before anyone says I don't know what I'm doing, I have a computer sciences degree and I've been an engineer for Microsoft...

ELITE was a buggy mess
FRONTIER ELITE II was a buggy mess
ELITE FIRST ENCOUNTERS was a buggy mess (boarderline logically unplayable)
ELITE DANGEROUS was a buggy mess
HORIZONS strangley was quite playable
ODYSSEY still is a buggy mess(but marked improvement on just how buggy in fact I would say its almost up to alpha standards of a Rockstar release...……………).
sadly I think you need to lower your expectations 🤷‍♂️ and def play something else fa a tad

What is the “flash” that you are seeing?

The previously reported geometry flash fixed in Update 10 (https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/46156) has been confirmed fixed by several forumites in the VR section, though the geometry flash when jumping to SuperCruise (https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/37825) remains extant - and Acknowledged by the Devs.

I certainly would not have jumped through all those hoops. Sadly 'support' (which have been great to me the couple of times i used them) is a very thankless and difficult part of the game industry to work in and i guess i would suggest having a break for a bit from EDO and maybe watching a few episodes of the 'I.T.Crowd' on youtube or somewhere (just to get a feel of how it works in most 'support' departments).

As STRONTIUM DOG mentioned, Frontier DO have a track record of making incredible Elite games full of bugs (that they will get around to fixing eventually), so keep that at the front of your expectations. Heck i'm so familiar with that that even as a Kickstarter backer i only started playing EDH a few weeks back as i figured i had given it enough time (7 years) to probably mostly be good to play (and it is). I'll look at EDO in about 5 years time!

Being an Elite fan is as much about the journey of that, as it is within the awesome game world as well! :love:

what I cant grasp about VR EDO is that virtual cinema screen why not just go full screen 2D?
and is there not an app that could get around that like gameglass?
don't own a VR atm so I don't know the why nots?
basically I think its awful and would never play through that distanced virtual cinema screen
